There is also a top of the range fully equiped wicker picnic hamper including a cool box, flask, ground sheet and tartan rug for your trips to one of the many golden sandy beaches of the castles and counrty houses that are in abundance within an hours easy drive from the apartment.There is a fully tiled bathroom with separate shower & heated ladder towel rail. The apartment has been completely refurnished and decorated to a high standard. The quality of the decor, soft-furnishings and furniture throughout is superb.

    The apartment is all ground floor and ideal for those with walking difficulties being both close to the town center and the Elizabethan Walls. It sleeps 4 persons comfortably but as the second bedroom has a bed with a double bed base and a single bed above where another person can be accommodated. The kitchen also has a small breakfast bar with two bar stool style seats.     Berwick railway station is under half a mile from the apartment and it’s all downhill if you wish to walk but there’s always lots of taxi’s waiting to whisk you here in under 5 minutes should you require one.

    Berwick upon Tweed station is on the main London Kings Cross to Edinburgh mainline, and is served by a surprisingly large number of trains for a town of its size.

    As well as National Express East Coast services, Berwick is also part of the crosscountry network. Berwick is served directly from a surprisingly large number of stations.

We stayed here from 16th-23rd August 2014. Its a two bedroom apartment with a double bed in the main bedroom and a bunk bed (with the lower bunk almost a double size) in the second bedroom. So it can sleep 5. The lounge is a very good size and equipped with a large screen modern TV, blue-ray DVD player, etc.... more

I have been using self-catering accommodation for my holidays in England for the past 25 years, and I can say without a work of exaggeration that this is the best equipped cottage I have come across. Glad we found this one! An excellent apartment, extremely well equiped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. A warm friendly welcome from John who met us at the station.
