Crantock village itself has a well stocked village shop (1 minute walk) including freshly baked rolls, croissants and traditional Cornish pasties; a Post Office service is offered too. There is also a pleasant cafe in the heart of the village. There are 2 public houses in the heart of the village (2 minute walk) and another a mile away which overlooks the stunning Crantock Bay.     Newquay airport (NQY) is located on the North Cornwall coast, close to Watergate Bay and St Mawgan village.

    The airport is situated just five miles outside Newquay town centre. There are regular bus services linking the airport to the town centre. A taxi to the centre is approximately £15. There are also three car hire companies based at the airport, Avis, Europcar and Hertz. Crantock is a further 3 miles from Newquay town centre.

    The rail network is provided by First Great Western with the nearest station in Newquay.

    Crantock is only 30 minutes from the A30; the main road into Cornwall.

We stayed over half term holiday with our grown up family and grandchild. The daylight was short lived as it went dark by 5 pm so to have a wonderful spacious clean and warm house to return to was lovely. Beautiful house with exceptional garden. There were five adults in our party, but house could easily cope with 10. Lots of separate relaxing areas in the house, so you didn't feel on top of one another.The house had everything that we needed and was clean and tidy.
