THE PERFECT SITUATION OVERLOOKING THE GOLDEN SANDS OF ST IVES BAY

Enjoying the perfect situation, sitting above the golden sandy beaches that hug St Ives bay and has simply breathtaking views over to the popular and must see destination of St Ives. At the end of the garden the South West Coast Path follows a scenic route across the cliffs to Godrevy Point or stroll down to Hayle sands (a few hundred yards) with its surf school and long stretch of safe beach.

Famed for its picture-postcard harbour and beaches, St Ives is the quintessential Cornish location and is easily accessible by a pretty coastal railway or bus route if you'd prefer not to take the car. With a vast array of restaurants, pubs and shops, you'll struggle not to pick up a memento or two. If you can tear yourself a...

Although the views and location were lovely and the neighbours who manage it were very friendly and helpful, this tiny cottage (or converted garage as we were informed) is very overpriced for a number of reasons:
* very small living space - a family of four would feel very cramped
* tiny bedrooms with very poor ventilation - strong smell of dampness which made sleeping very uncomfortable
* lack of and poor quality garden furniture - it did have a basic table and chairs but there was a broken umbrella and an old rusty table dumped at side of garden. We had to move it in case our dog cut himself on it. The BBQ was not fit for purpose (there should not be photographs of this in the ad) and sun loungers would have been good as the garden's on a slope and not comfortable to lie on.
* we had to ask for the grass to be cut - which was done right away but it should have been done before we arrived.
* not cleaned to a high standard - I had to scrub the toilet when we...

I couldn't have been more impressed with my stay here. Cosy bungalow in beautiful surroundings. The sea views are more than spectacular and that alone ensured that I would definitely make a return to the property.
The surrounding area was quiet (it was the middle of November) but that added to how relaxing and peaceful our holiday turned out to be. The property is comfortable and modern, I spent many an evening sat on the sofa watching the ocean rather than the television. The overall feel of The Sands is that of a welcoming nature. Hayle is a lovely town and you are close to other attractions such as St.Ives and Penzance.
I took my dog away with me as well and it's so refreshing to find a lovely holiday cottage that allows pets. I can't wait to return again and spend another fantastic holiday at The Sands.
