    3 Bedrooms, 3 Bathrooms, Sleeps 6
Set on a cliff top overlooking Corbière lighthouse on Jersey's south-west tip, Radio Tower is a striking observation tower built during the Second World War as part of Hitler's Atlantic Wall defenses; one of of 15,000 structures stretching from Norway to the Loire.
Constructed from more than 5,000 bags of cement this is a truly imposing site from both land and sea. Its location commands excellent views across the west coast of Jersey, and overlooks the iconic Corbière Lighthouse which stands on a outcrop of granite rock just offshore. The lighthouse was once manned but is now fully automated, you can walk there along a causeway at low tide.
Restored by Jersey Heritage in the German modernist style, the tower is set over six floors and boasts a 360 degree view from the panoramic...

From the tower's rather functional beginning comes accommodation that is unique to Jersey. The tower has five floors with one double bedroom on floors one, two and three all with adjacent shower/WC. The kitchen and an extra WC is located on floor four and a narrow spiral staircase leads up to the lounge/diner on the fifth floor. The climb to the top room is more than worth the effort as the look-out post that once was the heart of the tower's activity now offers almost a 360 degree view of the west coast that must be seen to be believed, converted into a stunning living area that is as quirky as it is spectacular.

3 shower rooms (with WC), a kitchen and three adult double bedrooms have been made out of the six rooms that lead the way up to the look out post. The tower is perfectly...

    How to get there
Jersey is a compact 9 miles by 5 miles so nowhere is too far away. Radio Tower is only a 15 minute drive from Jersey Airport and a 2O minute drive from the Harbour but should you wish to explore our 45 square miles of lush valleys, well-kept fields and amazing unspoilt coastline it would be advisable to hire a car if you are not bringing your own.
Please be aware that during rare, unfavourable weather conditions combined with the Tower's location and wind direction, bedroom three can experience loud noise interference. There is a double sofa bed situated in the lounge diner on the top floor should this be necessary during your stay.
Radio tower is close to Corbiere Lighthouse and light flashes will occur during the night. During periods of very poor visibility the lighthouse foghorn wi...

My Husband booked the Tower for my 50th Birthday as a surprise. It's a lovely quirky place to stay, and full of history with absolutely stunning views from the top. Obviously it has a lot of steps with a spiral staircase up to the top floor, so I would suggest you need to be reasonably fit to cope with the...

I stayed at the radio tower with 3 friends in the middle of February. This was an excellent break in an amazing holiday let. The radio tower won't be to all tastes and the steep stairs between each floor can be a challenge especially when carrying food and drink at meal times. The views, however make up for it. We... more

Thanks for your review, Paul. It's always great to hear when guests have had a great break at our sites. Like you say, the Tower has been renovated to fit within this iconic building and so some of the features may not be for everyone, but it certainly makes for a unique and unforgettable holiday! We hope you stay with... more

I am admittedly biased. I have visited this property several times, in the 80s when it was run by the coastguard, who gave our party a tour. Some years later during conversion into a leisure property, and other times, in a less formal visit. Just myself and partner are using it. We can each have our own on suite, own... more

Thank you so much for such a wonderful review of the Radio Tower. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you will come back again to visit the tower or one of our other properties. more
