    A picture postcard thatched cottage overlooking Exford village green, in the heart of the Exmoor National Park. The area is ideal for lovers of both the coast and the countryside.

    Crown Cottage is located in the centre of Exford village which has a Post Office, shop, garage, tea rooms, and excellent bar food and restaurants at the Crown Hotel and the White Horse Inn.

    The cottage has one double bedroom, one twin bedroom, a small enclosed garden and is ideal for couples or families, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay.

    We purchased the cottage in 2009 and since then we have redecorated and refurbished throughout..We have also installed a new kitchen,shower room and double glazed windows.

    The large double bedroom contains a Victorian style bed with a very comfortable memory foam mattress.

    The sitting room is very cosy, with a stone fireplace, a woodburning stove and a window seat which overlooks the village green.

    The new kitchen is equipped with everything needed for a self catering holiday. There is also a separate dining room .

    By Car - leave the M5 at Taunton and follow the A358 ( towards Minehead) and then follow the B3224 to Exford (28 miles). As you descend into Exford village , Crown Cottage is the thatched cottage on the left, directly opposite the Crown Hotel.

    The nearest Airports are Exeter (46 miles) and Bristol (64 miles).

    The nearest Ferry Ports are Weymouth (82 miles) and Plymouth (92 miles)

Booking enquiries and service were prompt and informative. We were graciously offered a good deal because of our early booking. The location was selected because it is central to Exmoor NP yet we seemed to drive the Wheddon Cross-Dunster route quite often. The cottage is compact but well equipped and has a great location in the centre of the village. I was taking my Aunt and mother for a quiet Spring break and it was an ideal place. Really nice short break. Cottage in superb condition. Well equipped and tidy. Lovely wood burner and very comfy beds. Cracking location in the heart of the national park with 2 pubs close by. more
