Located midway between the ancient towns of Shaftsbury and Sherborne, it offers a comfortable holiday base, to explore the beautiful countryside and sights of both Dorset, Wiltshire and Somerset.     The Cabin is a single story building of solid wood construction, fully insulated ,with modern underfloor heating and double glazed windows throughout.
    The living area has laminate flooring with under floor heating. also a separate heater for those cold summer nights. A large double bed with bedside cupboards and a double wardrobe with plenty of hangers. There is a flatscreen TV with DVD , a stereo cd player and radio. Plus WI Fi is available in the cabin.

    The modern fitted kitchen is equipped with an electric two ring hob and a microwave oven for cooking, a fridge, toaster, sink unit, kettle with tea and coffee, and all the utensils provided for your stay.

Great value for money at this cosy little cottage in the middle of nowhere, with a good pub just up the road and plenty of walks in the local area. Nice for a long weekend, but you may struggle for things to do in the local area if you stayed a whole week. However, plenty of attractions about an hour... more

The cabin is quite small but has everything you need and is absolutely fine for two people. You can hear the traffic passing by: there's not a lot of it and it didn't bother us, but if you're looking for an isolated rural location, this isn't it. Ideally sited within driving distance of the coast at Weymouth/Poole or Bournemouth (35 miles or so)., and a "lot" of National Trust" properties which are well worth a visit : particularly "Stourhead" and Corfe Castle. : the cabin (although small) : comfortably accommodates two people and the owners "les and Julie" were very friendly and helpful.
