4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 September 2013 for a stay in July 2013

My husband and I along with another NZ couple rented the property for one week towards the end of July. We selected and arranged it on the internet several months in advance. Ultimately it turned out to be a good choice - it was on a hill in a small seaside village with a reasonably good view of Glenarm Bay. The facilities were good and more than adequate for four adults although the rather steep internal stairs to the two bedrooms and the toilet/bathroom might be a challenge for small children, elderly persons or anyone with a physical infirmity. There was no arrival "Welcome Pack" as promised (we were asked to select from a range of about three) and we noted that minor maintenance, e.g. missing light bulbs, and repairs were necessary. The facilities of the village were rather sparse but we knew that before we arrived but they were adequate. We met several of the locals who were very friendly, shared... more

The property is excellent, the owner and the person who handles the change over were both very friendly and helpful. The letting was very good value and the location is on the coast about midway between Belfast and the Giants Causeway making it resaonably convenient for both. There is a lovely small harbour and country walks nearby. The cottage is well equipped.

The only disadvantage is that the village does not have a restaurant or pub serving evening meals. There is a cafe open during the day. A car is essential.
