    One of the most stunning locations for a rural break could find you relaxing at Taigh Granaidh (Granny's House), a recently refurbished property situated on a working croft in the village of Breasclete on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Sleeping up to 6, the house has two double bedrooms and one twin bedded room. There is a large kitchen / dinette, bathroom with shower and a comfortable sitting room with spectacular views over Loch Roag.

    Beside Taigh Granaidh is the croft 'loom shed' where guests can learn a bit more about traditional Harris Tweed weaving and even try weaving some of this unique cloth.

    Trout fishing can be tried on one of the many nearby lochs and you have your choice of a myriad of unspoilt beaches within easy reach.

Caroline and Kenny greeted us with an incredibly warm welcome. Our arrival to the cottage was met with a lovely plate of homemade scones and fresh flowers and this warm welcome was extended with local knowledge and also to the children who feel in love their two dogs and of course the chickens.
