    One of the most stunning locations for a rural break could find you relaxing at Taigh Granaidh (Granny's House), a recently refurbished property situated on a working croft in the village of Breasclete on the Isle of Lewis in the Outer Hebrides. Sleeping up to 6, the house has two double bedrooms and one twin bedded room. There is a large kitchen / dinette, bathroom with shower and a comfortable sitting room with spectacular views over Loch Roag.

    Beside Taigh Granaidh is the croft 'loom shed' where guests can learn a bit more about traditional Harris Tweed weaving and even try weaving some of this unique cloth.

    Trout fishing can be tried on one of the many nearby lochs and you have your choice of a myriad of unspoilt beaches within easy reach.

We absolutely loved this place. It was homely and relaxed, well equipped and very comfortable, and perfectly located for getting around the islands. The house is very well equipped and comfortable, and beautifully situated on a working croft. We had the chance to see tweed being woven and to learn something about island life. Caroline's welcome pack was very well received, and Kenny was very helpful and most interesting on the weaving in the islands. Mary is herself a hand weaver with a floor loom and so there was a mutual interest. The property is excellently situated to explore the Island of Lewis and is very comfortably set up.
