We booked this cottage for a great price, and it has a lovely view. It is very quiet. The owners are friendly and very helpful, and the rooms are a great size and well equipped. However, with a boisterous toddler we soon found that it isn't very toddler friendly! There is a low gap in the bannister, all kitchen sides are reachable by little hands and outside isn't fenced off between the patio and water. Not a problem if you are vigilant!
The water comes off a spring, so it is soft and great for showering and washing. It does have a slight salt taste though so we used bottled water. That was our choice though!
As the estuary is litterally outside you will occasionally get the best and worst of sea smells.
Although the cottage is surrounded by a residential area (though it is off on it's own lane on a farm), the surrounding countryside is all within easy reach with phenomenal attractions all within 30 minutes. Folly Farm deserves a mention as... more
