The cottage is perfect for a girls week-end, small group retreats, or romantic get-a-way. Decorated with comfort in mind the cottage offers plenty of space indoors and out to unwind and relax.

    Smithville Cottage is self-catering; guests need only bring food. The beautifully appointed gourmet kitchen is a chef's dream and the heart of the cottage. Niceties include dual fuel range, convection oven, double drawer dishwasher, large island and wine fridge.     The security deposit will be returned within 7-10 days of your departure provided the cottage is left in the same general and good habitable condition as found upon arrival.
    Cancellation Policy: If your reservation is cancelled with at least a 7 day notice your booking deposit will be refunded minus a $25 surcharge. We ask that you contact us for cancellations using the contact form or call (phone: hidden).

    Smithville Cottage, built in 1930, is located in the Historic District of Smithville, Texas on a tree-lined residential street within 40mins of Round Top, Winedale and the new Circuit of the Americas F1 race track.

    Smithville, Texas is centrally located between Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Bryan-College Station. Main Street of this charming railroad town is within walking distance and offers numerous opportunities to enjoy the works of local artists, antiquing and dining. Old homes and businesses line the streets and 206 properties are listed in the National Historic Register. Smithville's old fashioned appeal has not been lost on Hollywood. Films such as Hope Floats, Tree of Life, Bernie and Shady Texas has had part or all of their scenes shot here.

No comment would justify the perfect weekend I spent at Smithville Cottage. It was everything I was looking for in a romantic getaway and more. The historic, charming town where time seemed to stand still was peaceful, relaxing and extremely friendly. We had such a wonderful time - shopping, eating, cooking, and catching up with one another. We have been colleagues and friends for more than 30 years and love to spend time together.
