I just finished a stay at this cabin for a long ski weekend. This cabin was clean, spacious, and well equipped. The pictures are a very accurate depiction of the cabin, but they do not do justice to how amazing the view is.
The cabin is up in the woods about 5 miles on a dirt road from Waterbury. All wheel drive is probably needed in the winter, but the road was wide, well maintained, and very passable. Some of the houses on the road are used as year round residences, so don’t be intimidated by the drive. The town of Waterbury is close by and on the way to most ski resorts, so you can easily pick up food and such on your way to and from the cabin. The cabin’s owner John is the innkeeper at the Old Stagecoach Inn and was very helpful with local tips and discount lift tickets.
You probably won’t get cell service at the cabin, but that is part of the appeal of a place like this. The cabin does have a landline phone, pretty fast internet, a tv with blu-ray... more
