    Holiday Rental House –
    2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, Sleeps 8
Groose Cottage is a traditional Gower stone built cottage which has been beautifully restored into a cosy and welcoming two bed-roomed retreat. It is the perfect setting for family holidays.

The cottage is very comfortably furnished and features a large lounge with a soft sofa (that doubles as a sofa bed for large parties) and easy chairs arranged around an original inglenook fireplace that has been restored with a log burning stove.

Upstairs is a double bedroom to the rear, and a large bedroom with two single beds and two bunk beds at the front. Both bedrooms are attractively decorated with wardrobes, dressers and plenty of storage space.

A more modern extension at the rear of the building houses the kitchen (which is fully fitted with electric hob and oven, fridge, freezer, washing ma...

5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 June 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We stayed in this lovely cottage during the May half term with our three children aged 12, 13 and 15 plus our dog! We had a wonderful week and hardly used the car at all. The cottage was charming and plenty big enough for us all. The beds were comfortable, the shower was great with lots of hot water and there was a nice log burning stove for cosy evenings in. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and had everything you could possibly need. We even had four extra adults join us for a couple of meals whilst we were there and we managed to feed and seat everyone round the table! All made easier by the fact that Tesco delivered our food direct to the door, I booked it in advance and they arrived with our food for the week, so easy! The back court yard was small with amazing views over the hedge looking out towards the nature reserve with the beach and sea in the distance. The front cottage garden was full of flowers and the table and chairs were in a secluded spot, perfect for... more

A lovely traditional cottage, perfect for a family holiday. The cottage is warm and comfortable, it is not necessary to light the wood burning stove as it is centrally heated, but it adds a lovely atmosphere. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the downstairs bathroom has a shower over the bath and a separate toilet. The kitchen is large, and fully equipped with plenty of utensils, pots and pans and crockery. The living room is large, including a dining area, and TV/DVD player.
The cottage is within walking distance of a beautiful quiet beach, a small village shop and a lovely pub. The rest of the beautiful Gower peninsula is within a 20-30 minute drive. This cottage is a perfect base for exploring this beautiful area.
