    Overlooking the beach the house is of an attractive neo- Breton style which has been extensively renovated and beautifully refurbished by an architect designer. Both bathrooms and kitchen are new and the house is beautifully equipped, It is perfectly situated for family holidays, being at the end of a private road, with views of the beach which is a 7 minute walk away. The town of Douarnenez is a few minutes drive away, with a good variety of restaurants and shops, and a large intermarche is a few minutes drive away.

    The house has been completely renovated by an architect and designer, with new kitchen and bathrooms and offers spacious accommodation for 2 families on holiday. Consideration has been given to retain the charm of the house and yet offer all modern day comforts.There are 2 terraces and 2 balconies for outdoor dining, and should the weather be unkind there is an open fire. The rooms are light and airy and many have a view of the sea.

    All the furnishings are of good quality. We have chosen light oak comfortable beds and shaker style furniture. Great care has gone into the renovation of this house and we are confident that you will appreciate the attention to detail.

    Payment may be in sterling or euros.
    Duvets and pillows are provided. linen may be hired from housekeeper.
    Please pay by cheque or direct bank transfer.
    Credit cards accepted with Pay Pal in any currency with charges.
    Deposit of 20% payable on reservation , please, and the balance due 8 weeks prior to occupation.
    Security deposit (against damages) of £250, refunded on return less any damages or extra cleaning if required.
    If central heating is used the oil consumption is charged at £1 per litre over the 30 litre allowance.
    Local tax, water , electricity included. There is an oil allowance for hot water but extra units used are charged per unit and deducted from the security deposit.
    Smaller parties from 2 to 6 people may be acceptable in low /mid season at special rates.
    You are welcome to use our Bon Voyage membership on Brittany Ferries which is Williamson F80034 Guest of member, to obtain a discount. This may be used more than once.

We booked La Chataignier for a week in October as a group of ten to see a friend off in this years Mini Transat from Douarnenez. Le Chataignier is a lovely presented house in a picturesque setting. Good sized rooms and bedrooms. Very well equipped kitchen which opens onto a nice terrace for outside eating. Very clean and well maintained. The house is located about a 4 mile run into town. Plenty of local restaurants and lots of sightseeing to do within a 30 minute drive. more
