We (Me, my wife and 15yr old daughter) have recently returned after a weeks stay in Casa Lynda in Jete and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for the real Spain. On arrival there were supplies already in the property such as milk, water, fruit, a few beers and a bottle of Cava. The house is in a lovely village surrounded by friendly Spanish families and two minutes walk from the main road from between Otivar (further up the valley) and Almunecar (on the coast). Hire car is essential and reasonably priced in Almunecar. There are buses up and down the valley but I think they were few and far between.
Casa Lynda was immaculately clean and prepared when we arrived and is a beautiful old traditional house. As you walk in on the ground floor there is a small lounge area and the kitchen with a small table to eat around. Windows from the kitchen look onto the alleys around and Spanish villagers often say ‘Hola’ as they are passing by. The first floor has a long shower... more
