My partner and stayed at La Casita Alhambra in the glorious village of Gaucin for 3 days in September. We were smitten with the apartment as soon as we entered it, light, airy , clean with a terrace overlooking the most amazing views. The apartment is built around the hills with part of it in the lounge, the owner had cleveryly planted ferns which made you feel as if you were outdoors but inside! We were made to feel very welcome by the locals,'Deb' and her husband who were always on tap if we needed anything. We would definately visit again.
Gaucin itself is a stunning unadulterated white washed village, with a few very pleasant Tapas bars, a couple of general stores, butchers and Deli.It has a stunning castle and plenty of places to walk and cycle. It's a challenge to drive a car through the narrow lanes, but all well worth it. more
