My wife and I booked this cottage at the last minute being fortunate in that the owner had a last minute cancellation. How lucky we were. The house is very comfortable and cosy. The accomodation is spacious, tastefully decorated and is really well equipped, including easily the largest amount of local information folders I have ever seen. Mrs Rawson, the owner, is very friemdly and helpful. She lives next door which is an added bonus should any assistance be required. The cottage has a large well tended garden for guests use with open aspect across the countryside. The place is nice and quiet and peaceful. The location too is perfect given it is within very easy striking distance of all the major Aberdeenshire castles. I think the nearest restaurant is The Grant Arms in Monymusk about 3 miles away or so - the food was very nice as was the service. The only gripe was over priced very poor coffee.
