We have just returned home after spending 11 lovely days in "sun cottage".
The owner keeps the cottages immaculately clean and his attention to detail is second to none.we flew to Palermo and the journey took about 2 hours. On arrival ( takes a bit of finding) we were greeted by the owner and taken to the cottage. We were given comfy bathrobes and all towels are provide. These are changed weekly.
He is on hand 24/7 for any problems and nothing is too much trouble. The biggest problem we had was the remote control key for the front gate stopped working and we had to 'buzz' to be let in. ( needed new batteries). WIFI can be a bit of 'hit and miss' but so what you're on holiday.
You definitely need to have a car ( we took our "TOMTOM" an absolute must if you are doing a lot of driving) as its pretty remote, but the pool, views of Etna, and the total peace and quiet of the area make for a very chilled holiday. We stayed at the cottage in the first... more
