My partner and I have just returned from our stay in Croatia and we stayed two nights at Apartments Katica to visit KRKA national park. The apartment was lovely and clean, with a private bathroom and kitchen area. The balcony had a great view and the hosts were very helpful and welcoming. They welcomed us and showed us around our room, and gave us access to their internet. He even drove us all the way from Skradin to Sibenik (where we caught the bus to Split) completely free of charge!
The national park is easy to access from Katica, just a 15 minute walk down a large hill to the harbour, where you can get the boat transfer into the park (included in the park tickets). Skradin is relatively quiet but there is a small supermarket and a few restaurants to choose from, including several pizzerias. We enjoyed a restaurant recommended by the hosts, although be prepared to walk the 15 minutes up quite a steep hill back to the apartment! We found it easy but it may not be as easy... more
