We spent a week at this wonderful cottage and it was just perfect. There were four adults and three small children all under 9 in our party and there was so much space for everyone. Three double bedrooms each with en suite bathrooms, a large kitchen diner, sitting room, laundry room - even a snug complete with tv for children or those who don't like football. What more could one want! Space for the kids to play or a place to eat outside? No problem. There's a large safe back garden so plenty of room for a kick about and a patio area with furniture and bbq for those warm evenings.

The cottage is an old farm workers house wiith the original building dating back to 1645. It's in a small village so really quiet other than the odd tractor, quadbike, horse or herd of cows. The floors are uneven in places and some of the doors are low but this is all part of its charm.

Our second visit to Wilmington Cottage was even better than the first, a very comfortable week in a fantastic, historic cottage, the gorgeous log burner was only used once due to the great weather, but we took full advantage of the quiet yet central location, with trips to several beaches as well ad Crealy Adventure park. Just up the road is a great farm shop offering local produce and a mean cooked breakfast and from nearby Chard we took advantage of the cycle route to Illminster. more
