Our group of 6 enjoyed a wonderful holiday in this lovely 19th century 'maison de ville' in the centre of Gabian, a village in the heart of this beautiful wine-growing area. The house is well equipped, with cool spacious rooms - ideal as it gets very warm in the summer! - and a sunny south-facing paved courtyard with a small pool and plenty of shade from a beautiful mulberry tree and parasols. A lovely spot for relaxing evenings!
Bedding and towels are all provided but bring an extra for beach and swimming
There are lots of things to see and do in the area so a car is essential to make the most of your stay. Gabian has a bakers, two small grocery shops, a 'pharmacie' and a couple of bars. Lots of lovely restaurants and cafes as well as a good selection of supermarkets (including Lidl and Aldi!) within a short drive. We enjoyed trips to the coast at Sete and Marseillan, lovely towns and villages such as Pezenas (great market on a saturday!) and St Guilhem le Desert, swimming... more
