We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in La Charite and in the most comfortable gite that met all of our needs.
The Genty's were very helpful and everything went very well, once we had mastered the novelty of activating French washing machines and door locks on day one!
The town is charming and we were beginning to feel like locals after a couple of weeks. We tried four of the possible restaurants, the boulangeries and most of the bars. Auberge de Seyr was our favourite restaurant although the Black Hen was very good, as was St Pa over the bridge. The boulangerie opposite the main square was our favourite.
We visited Babette and Evas for an excellent Tango night although skipped a "spontaneous writing" event. We also went to various concerts and guided tours in town as well as visiting several surrounding towns and villages.
