    Welcome to Number 42, a comfortable, well equipped semi detached holiday house with garden and sea views. Situated in the picturesque fishing village of Pittenweem, the house is located in a quiet location with very little passing traffic and is just a short stroll from the seashore, harbour, coastal path, shops, galleries and local cafés & pubs. Ideally located for exploring the East Neuk villages of Elie, Anstruther, Crail and St Monans and also the historic university town of St Andrews with its many attractions. This part of Scotland is an ideal holiday location for golfers, walkers and art lovers and has an abundance of good restaurants. Children's play park and excellent dog walking just a couple of minutes walk from the house.

I stayed here with friends in April. The house is bright, airy and fantastically well equipped, the owners have clearly thought of every little detail. There's plenty of space for 4 people, with a good sized kitchen/diner and a lovely living room, equipped with a super comfy sofa. Though it was a chilly April, lounging in front of the log burner was bliss. You can see the sea from the living room and front garden, the beds are super comfy and the kitchen has everything you could need. I really loved staying in No.42 for the week.

Pittenweem itself is a beautiful wee place, with a small shop and post office, as well as a rather tasty chocolate shop. The coastal path is worth wandering along (even just as an excuse to get to the famous Anstruther chip shop a couple of miles away!) and St Andrews is only a 15 min drive away.

This house would be the perfect retreat if you want a quiet holiday on the sea. I'll definitely be back!
