We wanted somewhere to base ourselves on Mahe for a full 2 weeks and Fleur de Sel proved a real find. It isn't too far from the airport, on the coast road along the east coast of the island, in Anse Royale. The chalet/ bungalow was lovely - simply but stylishly furnished with everything we needed for our stay. Accommodation comes with a large bedroom with stunning sea views from the bed, large bathroom with huge shower (dinner plate shower head and again a cleverly placed window provides a sea view!) and a spacious and light kitchen/ diner/ lounge with flat screen tv (we could plug in our laptop through an hdmi cable and watch dvds, and tv programmes from our hard drive -the 2 local tv channels were fairly uninspiring!).
There were 2 adults and 2 young children in our party, and we were able to push the extra single bed we had requested into the bedroom so that we grown ups could use the lounge in the evening. Our children are small so could easily share the single bed... more
