    Gwalia is one of two converted stone barns completely renovated to a high standard. It is situated in a very quiet location on the 5 acres site of Pentowyn.

    The cottage is light and airy with one king size bedroom with coastal and estuary views. There are two twin rooms, one upstairs with a portable TV and DVD player, and the other on the ground floor. The bathroom is on the 1st floor with shower over the bath. Downstairs has a useful utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and with ample storage for boots, coats etc. There is a separate downstairs toilet.     How to get there
    Railway: Carmarthen: 16.0 km
    On the A40 at Carmarthen, just slightly west of Carmarthen, take the B4312 to Llansteffan. Continue through the village of Llansteffan proceeding up the hill. In less than ½ mile out of the village, at the top of the hill on the right bend, turn left. Continue down the lane for over a mile and continue past the dead end sign. Pentowyn is on the right hand side near the bottom of the hill.

We have stayed in Gwalia cottage twice now and plan to return again later this year.

We have been looking for high quality self catering accommodation near to Llanstaffan for some years now, and now we've discovered Gwalia we hope to keep on returning.

The cottage itself is cosy, yet with all modern ammenities and has been done to a very high standard. (We have stayed in Gwalia cottage which has 3 bedrooms and my parents stayed in Hafan which has one bedroom and is just as beautifully appointed.)

The cottages are beautiful but the views are even better. We looked out across the estuary to the village of Llaugharne, and could see Dylan Thomas' boat house from our bedroom and living room. The setting is just so peaceful we've felt so relaxed and whilst here.

There is a cliff top walk down into Scotts bay, which when the tide is in is cut off, and we were the only ones on the beach, or a short drive to llansteffan beach where you can walk around to...
