We are taking a family vacation to Maui next week and I am feeling a bit uneasy about a reservartion we have through Hotwire at the Marc Maui Vista. Most of the postings I've seen are negative. Any suggestions or is there anyone out there who can ease me ... more

Rental at the Maui Vista can be hit and miss. The privately rented units tend to be nicer; some managed units are quite nice, the Marc units tend to be prettty basic. See which unit they assign you to and ask for (demand!) better if you are not happy. Worst ... more

THIS DEC???? but check car rental before switching islands. Major rental companies are posting they are out cars for Christmas week... You need a car on Maui to see and do what you listed. ... more

Uh oh. Never even considered there would be a car rental issue. I have a massive number of frequent flyer miles and a couple of free upgrade certs to first so just throwing this together now. Safer to just stay with the original plan? ... more
