Myself, my mum and my 15 year old son spent 4 nights at Elounda Gulf Villas during October Half term and it was the perfect break for all of us. For a 15 yo to go on holiday with his Mum and Nan it had to be something special and EGV ticked all the boxes for us. We had a gorgeous 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom villa so we all had our own space and beautiful outdoor area with large pool. The villa felt like a home from home (albeit much grander than my flat in London!) but what really made our stay special was the staff. Every single member of the team was so friendly, warm and welcoming. Special shout out to Sofia and Giorgos who looked after us at dinner and the fabulous ladies on reception who couldn't do enough for us. The staff obviously take a lot of time to get to know the guests and remember their drink preferences, meal habits etc which makes you feel extra special.

The food in Argo restaurant is excellent - we recommend the rooster which we had 3 X and the Angus burger for lunch. The room service menu is the same as the restaurant menu which is a treat as often room service menus are basic; we had a lovely dinner set up on our terrace on the last evening.

The shuttle to the beach takes around 15 mins and it's a lovely, private beach to spend an afternoon. We had lunch at the beach which was a nice change from the main restaurant, serving burgers and souvlaki etc.

The Greek night was fun and well attended, with Greek dancers who encouraged the guests to join in and a BBQ buffet style dinner.

We were very lucky with the weather - end of October and it was 27 degrees and sunny all week! Apart from spending time by our pool and on the beach, we explored Elounda, Plaka and Agios Nikolaos all of which are within easy reach by taxi. We also took the boat to Spinalonga which is worth a visit for a couple of hours. We preferred Elounda to Plaka as although it's pretty Plaka is very small, not a great deal to do apart from take the boat to Spinalonga. For shopping Agios Nikolaos is great.

I've stayed with my husband and my little baby at one of the villas with a private pool. Our villa was highly spacious with 3 bedroom, kitchen, living room, huge private pool and an outdoor area and even private gym & sauna.

Elounda Gulf Villas is the perfect place to stay weather you're in a honeymoon and looking for privacy or with if you're with your family. Having a private pool for us was particularly convenient with our baby. We stayed at the hotel the whole time, there was no need to get out since we had everything we needed provided by the hotel. The only time we left the hotel is to the hotel's private beach which is 10 minutes drive away by their free shuttle on-demand. We also had lunch at the restaurant on the private beach and it was very delicious.

Food: The hotel has two restaurants located in the property and one restaurant for lunch on their private beach. Food was amazing with a lot of options to suit every taste.

Amenities: Many villas has private pools but the hotel also has an infinity pool for those that don't. There's also a gym and a spa.

Rooms: The rooms at our villa were spacious, beds were very comfortable and it had everything we needed.

Location: Elounda is an absolute Paradise. The hotel is located only a short drive away from the marina.

Private pool: The pictures speak for themselves. Our infinity private pool was perfect for us and our baby to enjoy. The stunning views were a huge plus too.

Staff: Every single employee was highly friendly and helpful. From the cleaners to the receptionist- they were all fabulous.

Overall, if you're looking for a luxurious villa - look no further. Our stay was incredible and we will not hesitate to book another holiday at Elounda Gulf Villas.
