I was delayed in writing my review for a few months, but as we are ready to persist with booking our vacation, I remembered how wonderfully we spent our time at this hotel.

After experiencing initial room issues, which were promptly addressed by the attentive manager George, our stay at this hotel turned from disappointing to delightful. Despite the initial setbacks, Mr. George swiftly relocated us to a superior room with added perks, such as access to the exclusive restaurant and a stunning view. The staff's hospitality, especially George's vigilant care, ensured our comfort throughout. The culinary offerings were commendable, and the spa facilities added to the relaxation. A heartfelt gesture upon departure from George left a lasting impression, transforming our experience from a rocky start to an unforgettable memory. Highly recommend this establishment for their exemplary service and dedication to guest satisfaction.

A Five-Star Haven for Travelers

I’ve traveled extensively, staying at numerous hotels worldwide, and as a Diamond member at Hilton, I’ve encountered diverse accommodations. Despite my global journeys, I’ve never felt compelled to write a review until now, prompted by my exceptional experience at this particular hotel. If your travels are about exploring the world, having a great time, and indulging in comfort during your vacations, this is the hotel to visit. The view, service, and personalized attention here are unparalleled.

The staff, including Maria in guest relations, Efi in the restaurant, and Pano at the sushi restaurant, exceeded expectations with their exceptional dedication and assistance.

I must highlight Mr.George, the Rooms Division manager, as the best manager in all my hotel experiences. He promptly attended to our every need and even anticipated our desires before we voiced them. We entrusted everything to his capable hands and had the most memorable vacation, compelling me to write this review. Thank you all so much, and we eagerly anticipate our return in the future.

Having spent two very enjoyable weeks at Domes Aulus Elounda, it definitely met and in many respects exceeded expectations.

It is a refurbished, older hotel but really fresh and clean. We had a standard Tropical Nest room (214), which had a cute little garden area at the front. It was a decent size, comfortable and nicely decorated. Importantly the air con was excellent as most days the temperature was in the 30s. The shower was a bit narrow but worked fine for us as we are both slim!

We didn't use the pool area a whole lot and went to the hotel's beach instead. The pool area is fine, but the beach is nicer. It is man made and gravelly, but sheltered and the water calm (though not the bright blue crystal clear water you think of in Greece). There is a bar and self serve beer, soft drinks and snacks.

The food was decent enough. The buffet was varied and and there were a few a la carte meals including the sushi night - very tasty.

The drink selection was good. Cocktails, particularly in the main bar, were excellent. Strong and flavorsome! It was also nice to have a good choice of wines.

Staff were pretty much uniformly brilliant save for a couple of negative experiences with one individual. The general approach is very relaxed and informal, but professional with it. Special thank you to Nikos, Panos and Mary for keeping us plied with drinks.

There were a lot of same sex couples like us in the hotel, so definitely gay friendly.

We did not do Cool Living so cannot comment, but the more standard offering was a good balance between price and quality. It did not seem like Cool Living would have justified the extra cost for us.

Basically it is a good value, stylish and upmarket hotel. Really enjoyed it!
