Prague in Privilege: A Modern Stay Amidst Ancient Splendors

Located perfectly for exploring Prague, this hotel boasts an exceptional position, mere minutes from iconic landmarks such as the Powder Tower and the Municipal House. A brief walk takes you directly to the charm of the Old Town Square and the enchanting Astronomical Clock. Adjacent to the hotel, the Palladium shopping center offers a vast selection of over 250 retail stores, along with a food court on its uppermost floor for convenience. Furthermore, the presence of a metro station right outside the Palladium ensures seamless navigation throughout Prague, highlighting the hotel’s prime location.
I have stayed in the this hotel before and on this occasion went for one of the renovated privilege rooms. The fixtures and fittings are made more for functionality rather than comfort. The furniture is minimalist, with only a desk area, chair and overhanging space for clothes. There is a modern wall mounted fridge for some smaller items to keep cool and a large TV opposite the bed. The bed was in keeping with the Accor standard of being very comfortable.
Regrettably, the room's view was less than desirable, facing the neighboring building, making it necessary to keep the curtain drawn for privacy.
The bathroom was modern and well equipped. It has a lovely walk in shower which could have been improved with a larger rain shower head instead of the standard.
The breakfast was an impressive offering with a large range of hot and cold items. Enough to settle any hungry tummy and mood urges. There were plenty of breads, meats, salads, pastures, cereals and hot items.
In summary, this hotel offers a delightful stay, underscored by its unbeatable location, commendable service, and an upgraded room that significantly enhanced my visit.

Stayed here from Boxing Day for 3 nights.
Hotel is central and just a minute from the palladium shopping centre. We arrived around 4ish and check in took around 45 minutes as it seemed everyone arrived at once. The staff here are not overly helpful and seemed to not want to be there.
We booked through easyJet and was not aware of the city tax that needed to be paid when we checked in. 300 Czech krona for 3 nights.
The bedroom was clean, warm and spacious. No kettle but we came prepared. The shower was very hot but the water pressure was poor.
Checkout is 12 but be prepared for the maid to enter your room at 8.00am we were still in bed when she came in on the last day, she also did the same to our friends who were staying in the room opposite. I appreciate that they have a set time to clean the rooms but let people wake up before you try to get in to clean.
Breakfast was not what we expected....no breakfast tea and only one choice of coffee....black or black with milk!! The choice for breakfast was quite poor, hotdog sausage, scrambled eggs and beans and then a wide variety of vegetables, pickled onions, cucumber, garden peas and even tuna mayo! The cereal and bread for toast were fine so we didn't starve.
We've been to Prague a few times and based on previous hotels we would not come back due to the staff and poor choice for breakfast. While it is great value for money we would pay a bit more next time and stay somewhere better.
