Friendliest Hotel I have ever stayed in. From the moment we arrived until we left, the staff really put effort in ensuring everything was as perfect as they could make it. We were too late for lunch after our transfer BUT they had put food back for us for our arrival. We stayed in a swim up room which even in late October felt a very comfortable temperature. The food on offer for all inclusive guests was varied enough during the week for you not to get bored (mainly Greek cuisine) but enough choice if you wanted more traditional English dishes. The restaurant for the meals overlooked the main pool surrounded by mature greenery. For a small Hotel, we were surprised by the amount of activities available during the day. On the evening we enjoyed a Quiz, Greek Dancing, A band from South Africa (who's name escapes me, probably due to my intake of Coffee with Ouzo ;). A Jazz evening with Piano and Saxophone and Karaoke night. Turn right from the hotel and a short walk takes you to Παραλία Άγιος Σώστης Beach. Turn left and a short walk takes you the quickest route to Cameo Island. This part of the coast is also the hangout for those offering day trips. Blue Caves, Keri Lighthouse, Shipwreck, Zakynthos Town etc. This is all negotiable. We arranges a land trip with a guy called Paul (he is Greek) who usually does the boat trips and told him what we would like to see and added his own flavor as we passed through other places on route that he felt would be off interest. It was a great day out and we covered all the places of interest in around 8 hours including lunch in Zakynthos Town although Castelli Hotel had prepared a lunch box for us each for the trip (it didn't go to waste). This is a Adult only Hotel so plenty of peace and quiet to be had if that is what you are looking for. Beyond the main Pool area there is a large garden with tables and chairs, Bean bags, Sunbeds with plenty of space. Further on is decking for Yoga Classes or do your own! There is also a massage hut with masseuse or masseurs. Perfect!

Peaceful, friendly, helpful and generous establishment. My husband who is Coeliac and cannot eat gluten at all was extremely well catered for at every meal. The staff were very careful and double checked food with chef when unsure about recipe ingredients. We had a swim up room which was spacious and had air con, mini fridge, coffee pod machine , slippers, robes, pool towels and a super comfy double bed. Every evening there was additional housekeeping to replace towels and robes and chocolates were left on the bed too. There is a book exchange with books in different languages so a book for everyone. We were lucky enough to be there for olive harvesting and it was really interesting experience with lots of lovely local food and drink to try after we practiced beating the olives from the branches. The sea is still lovely and warm so great for a dip if you find the hotel pool a bit chilly. There are events happening every day around the hotel and they are happy to help you plan an outing away from the local area too. The grounds are varied and lots of different areas to relax in the sun or the shade if you prefer. Some of the other reviews only mention perceived negatives/ minor irregularities but the positives way out do the little niggles you may find with the venue. Go with a warm heart and you will be met with the same.

This is a fabulous small hotel! It is family run and has such a warm & friendly vibe. The staff are excellent and the housekeeping outstanding (the place was spotless). The rooms, restaurant & pool area are very stylish too! A great choice for an adult only hotel, which is 15 minutes drive away from the airport and a 5 minute walk to the town beach, bars & restaurants.

A Lovely Greek Family Independent Hotel, which Does Not have Tennis (or Crazy Golf) ! I will write this from the perspective of someone not expecting to play a few sets of tennis in the morning (misdescription of facilities not hotels fault) before a hard day of Rest and Relaxation. It was The Best check in arrival I have ever experienced _ got sat down, watered with welcome drink, and the usual local documentation was dealt with in a relaxed yet attentive way. Due to the room booking pattern we were offered an upgraded room gratis for first few days, if we didn’t mind moving mid week, which worked out great. Hopefully pics attached if I manage it ! The room was very well equipped, spacey and like everything in the hotel, very comfortable. The beds and loungers are the good quality sort where you do not notice you are not in your usual bed, so great _ The owner was around through large parts of the day, now retired, while other family members and the on the ball staff take care of operations. It was very nice to have many short conversations with ever watchful Mr Spiros, a very interesting person to speak with (and very sharp minded, Very Perceptive, and humorous) I noticed on the comprehensive information board a sunset hike trip, with a local guide the hotel recommends. It was fantastic, and many other hikes and walks are available too. I recommend anyone active to take a hiking trip with the hotels recommended guide during their stay. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of Cameo Island and it’s famous rope bridge. On the other side of the hotel is the party strip for the brave, the young and the adventurous. Walking distance, but far enough away you’d never know it was there if you didn’t want to. From talking to locals the strip is really active June July August, where I gather it can be a bit lively. We took a boat trip around the island, again booked via hotel, with easy collection and transportation to local main harbour. On reflection a shorter trip from the boat hires around Cameo Island may have been enough, rather than the around the entire island. It was 35 euros for the full round island trip, great value for money. When the reception team say ‘we can make you a packed lunch if you’d like’ this actually means ‘you’re three or four hour trip will be 5 or six hours and you will arrive back when service is over’ This is a ’tip’ and it’s well taking up the lunchbox out option if going on a trip, hike, day exploring etc. The food was great, Very Good to Excellent, large choice, dietary considerations, lots of veg and vegan options, lots of labels, a willingness to check ingredients if asked. Top Marks. Staff friendly, warm, welcoming, and very good at matching customer requirements (so formal if guests treated them formally, fun if guests were fun, and always attentive to service) I would go as far as to say there are some special ones. I’m not a big drinker (guess I’ve grown up) but for those that like to ‘indulge’ _the drinks are plentiful, quality, and fast flowing. The hotel has a massage area where the local masseurs offer a wide range of treatments. The large rear garden is also the centre for a wide range of activities (but no tennis courts), and for a small hotel I was surprised to find a full time animator running everything from stretching (clearly a fitness expert), to darts, cooking demonstrations and even karaoke one evening ! Intelligent, degree level educated and good with people. Makes many young Brits look decidedly dopey !! The first night the entertainment was the best trio I’ve heard in a holiday hotel and they did a second gig at end of week. We had got chatting to a couple one of whom was a professional musician, and he commented they were pretty much pitch perfect, so Warren G, Mandy and Chelsea from Cape Town, all credit to you, Thanks for Great Singing ! The pool area which turns into an evening table and chair, ‘outside lounge’ stayed full when these folk were singing. The other evening entertainer a local keyboard player was unfortunately not so great, he more emptied the pool area, although by his third visit, many of the guests were rolling about in laughter, so maybe he was meant to be the local Tommy Cooper of the music scene, but after the most murderous rendition of a Beatles song I’ve ever heard (think teenager over programming their Christmas present synthesiser, while a maniac tortures local cats) I concluded that he was just really really really bad………… I wish I had taken some mosquito repellant as they did seem to be around a bit, but it was easy to pick some up from local shop (the hotel also probably sell it in their small shop), I’ve heard that in general from friends this years has been bitey in med area,, so it’s not hotel specific. On the last day, coming down to breakfast to Nino Rota’s Speak Softly Love, and seeing Mr Spiros in his usual corner seat looking rather Marlon Brando like, I was momentarily unnerved as to whether I’d smiled too much at someone, (or maybe not enough, who is, and is not, part of the family is a bit of a designed mystery I think) so I asked if they like to play this on all guests last day, but judging by the volume of laughter of reception it wasn’t planned ! A charming, quirky hotel, with that hard to find now ‘club / family’ vibe, but no screaming kids !! Highly Recommended _
