I'm a so-called "elder citizen", retired from a long career as a university professor/researcher. I am still involved in academic research and publications. I enjoy traveling alone as well as with my spouse. When I travel alone (during the winter months), I always go to "warmer climes", such as Mexico, Central and South America ou South-East Asia. I backpack but I don't follow the "backpacker crowd"...a bit too young and boisterous for my taste!
