We love to tent camp in US national parks and state parks. Some favorites not on the list - Goblin Valley State Park in Utah, near Hanksville, UT, so remote that even the Utah Parks people hadn't heard of it - Goblins are red stone monuments, sized such that kids can run and play hide-and-seek among the formations. Tent or RV. Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park in Utah has wonderful coral pink sand dunes - really! - and you are allowed to play on them.Photo opp - portraits and snaps against the pink sand. Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho. Gold Bluffs Beach State Park in California. Barrow Alaska. Alaska Marine Ferry. Badlands National Park, Devils Tower National Monument and Myrtle Beach State Park are on the list, but I had to mention them - Great camping and wildlife viewing.
