[Operations ended 5 March 2020] UK-based Flybe (BE) is a low-cost carrier that also holds the distinction of being Europe’s largest regional carrier. Founded in 1979 as Jersey European Airways, the airline flies to more than 100 destinations in about a dozen European countries. It also has codeshare agreements with Aer Lingus, Air France, British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Etihad Airways, Finnair, KLM and Jetairfly. Flybe’s fleet of 72 aircraft includes 50 Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 planes, 11 Embraer E-175 planes and nine Embraer E-195 planes, as well as two ATR 72-600 planes operated for SAS.
