Tripoli, Libya-based Afriqiyah Airways (8U) is a government-owned airline that was founded in 2001. It operates from hubs at Tripoli International Airport (TIP), which is its primary hub, Benina International Airport (BEN), Misrata Airport (MRA) and Sebha Airport (SEB). The airline serves about 20 destinations in North Africa as well as Turkey. Afriqiyah Airways operates an all-Airbus fleet. Its passenger aircraft include three Airbus A319-100s, six Airbus A320-200s, two Airbus A330-200s and one Airbus A330-300. Each plane is configured with both business and economy-class cabins.
