JAL were wonderful to fly with. We had our four children with us and they were very attentive to ensure that they were comfortable and happy. The meals were lovely and larger than other airline meals. The entertainment system was very up to date and modern. The plane itself was roomy and economy did not feel squashy at all. We...More
I don't normally leave reviews for airlines. Flights are normally pretty similar, maybe slightly better food or facilities, but you pretty much know what you're getting. However, JAL surpassed any airline I've ever flown on and the customer service and food was outstanding. We flew economy but this was even better than any premium economy either. The staff went out...More
JAL offers the best economy class product across the Pacific hands down. With 34 inches if seat pitch and wide seats, the ride is very comfortable. Crew is truly professional and extremely courteous and polite. Meals are good, and flights almost always on time in my opinion. Services to San Francisco are from Haneda airport, which is very convenient to...More
Ouch, it all began with the officious crew in western uniform. I remember JAL staff in traditional (?) dress giving us a taste of their country as soon as you step on board. Seats are narrow and hard and at 164 cms I could not stretch out completely in a flat bed. Food so so.
I had a flight to Tokyo from CGK, and I had a good time during the flight. I remember the cabin crew gave us a disposable towel for cleaning the face. The leg room is long enough, the seat is comfortable. The entertainment is good as well. One thing that I dislike is the food. I didn't like the raw...More
This is a little gem and a nice experience. Although this is only my second first class flight I think I'm happy to declare its probably not worth the extra dollars/points up from business class. MAybe Singapore suites may change this opinion. You get into the Qantas first class lounge in Sydney, where the Neil Perry dining means there isn't...More
Whilst JAL had most of the perks that usually come with business class, it's seats and your personal space could do with a a little face lift. Seats go into full bed mode, I even had a mattress in my overhead cabin to make my flight more comfy. Remote control was within reach without any effort to control my seat...More
We were dreading a long flight, but it was so comfortable, excellent food, very good wine, and the hostesses were attentive and beautiful. We had such a good time with our friends when the plain landed we did not want to get off!
As we have someone on wheelchair Travelling with us, we were assisted at every sector of the flights. First we were told to check in early to get the needed seats near to the toilets. We were able to sit together. Upon arrival at Tokyo for the transfer to the Domestic Terminal, there was a ground staff who assisted us,...More
The service on the Narita to Honolulu flight is different to other JAL services such as to Europe and USA where there is more competition. The food selection was very limited and the food good but not to the standard you might see on other flights. There was no amenities pack. The staff however compensate and are always very good and pleasant....More
