We were traveling from Copenhagen to Madeira with a layover in Lisbon. A few days prior to the trip we were informed that the second leg from Lisbon to Madeira was cancelled and we have been placed on a different flight with a 4 hours longer layover. We were not contacted regarding our options, but only notified that it had been done. When we then arrive in Lisbon we learn that the flight is in fact not cancelled as TAP had incorrectly informed us. Due to the now 5-hour layover we bought and paid for lounge access in Lisbon. On the website it clearly stated that the lounge access was for the entire trip, however in Lisbon we were denied access even though we had paid for it. When contacting customer service, the person simply said "I dont care, you can file a complaint on the website". In summary, TAP lied to us a few days prior that our light was cancelled, and subsequently denied us the services we had paid for ourselves to remedy the inconvenience (and shorter vacation). The customer service is extremely unhelpful and rude. Simply the worst experience we have had with an airline.

the worst airline that exists. customer service lies and is super unhelpful. We are having a wedding with over 80 people flying to Portugal and specifically told all of them to use United or American just to avoid this airline. Absolutely shameful.

check-in was standard did not stand out as good or bad. but the onboard service was limited, with a temperamental on-board staff who were surly and disinterested. Never did they offer us water on the entire fight and once they served us our meal, the put on the "seat belt sign" and kept it like that until we landed with no more service. Terrible. Would find an alternate airline to travel with in the future. Food was some of the worst airline food ever.

DO NOT FLY WITH TAP!! I SAY THAT AGAIN DO NOT FLY WITH TAP!!. THIS IS THE MOST USELESS AND HORRIFIC AIRLINE. I HAVE FLOWN WITH DIFFERENT AIRLINES BEFORE BUT TAP IS NUMBER 1 IN THE WORST AIRLINE. THEY DELAYED MY BAGGAGE TWICE NOW FOR GO AND BACK DELAYED FOR 5 DAYS THEY MADE ME MISS MY FLIGHT WHILE SEARCHING FOR MY BAG. ALL THEY CAN SAY WE APOLOGISE ETC.... THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS REALLY BAD. ITS LIKE YOURE TALKING TO A BUNCH OF PRIMARY SCHOOL STUDENTS.

I took a long trip to see my family in Hong Kong a few weeks ago. I had a flight on 7/3/2024 HKG to Amsterdam with Cathay using my OneWorld points , and then I purchased a ticket in TAP Portugal business class to go back to Miami from Amsterdam on 7/5/2024 at 7am. I am always an OneWorld supporter, but I thought I would build up a Star Alliance connection by this trip since I do like airlines like Emirates and Singapore. For some reasons, my alarm and my morning call didn’t go through, and I woke up at 6am! I freaked out and checked out quickly and got in a taxi to arrive at the airport at 6:20am. The taxi driver couldn’t be nicer and helped me get there as fast as he possibly could. I already checked in online and had a check in luggage but I thought they would be able to check it in at the as they always do with oversized luggage. The fellow passengers couldn’t be nicer and let me go through security first, and even the security lady was so nice and helpful and let me through quickly. Well, I got into the gate and the line was still going, and I saw they had luggages checked in the spot, so I thought I made it, especially I already scanned my boarding pass through. Was I wrong! The senior attendant saw my luggage and started to speak with an annoyed tone and said I wasn’t allow to board because of my luggage. She then removed me from the boarding area and said rudely that she will do nothing for me. As I was anxious and asked for help, I was ignored the entire time while I saw the airport worker put away all their checked luggages. I tried to their attention but no one would speak to me. Then I said what can I do now? She then responded rudely and coldly that I was late, and I should be there earlier and I would have to buy a new ticket. She treated me like a school boy as if I did something very wrong. I cannot believe that was how they treat business class clients, and had zero empathy on the fact that it was a very early flight. I was super jet lagged and it wasn’t voluntary for me to arrive late. I was treated like a human by everyone except the company that I paid money for. I would never ever ever fly TAP Portugal again and please use other airlines that this low class service airline.
