I have just got back home today from 18 days in the Caribbean. I flew BA out, and, for my first time ever, Virgin Atlantic back, and I am still traumatised by what V.A. found appropriate to serve us for dinner and breakfast. While knowing that of course it's industrial catering, and of course cost savings are a main factor with airlines, the "quality" was so guttingly bad that the whole mealtime exercise turns into an utter waste of resources, given that most passengers on board, at least in economy, can't but have left most if not all of it....so revolting it was. I became suspicious even before boarding since so many flight attendants in V.A. uniform were buying themselves slices of pizza at Bridgetown airport. Bring your own, whatever, anything will be better than the jail slops you'll get otherwise. BA on the way out were *worlds* away for the better.…
