Tip Top Experience With Baroness Bolsover
Wow. What a very special time we had with Baroness Bolsover. She guided us through the historic town of Bolsover pointing out interesting and important buildings, explaining the street names and stories behind them. We saw unique landmarks and walked on ancient trails. So much knowledge shared with us in a light hearted yet passionate way. We were very fortunate to be able to explore the Church of St. Mary and St. Laurence fully, including a visit to the 17th century crypt. Luckily the new exhibition at the church, Fame, Fashion and Fortune-The Women of Bolsover, had also just started. Afternoon tea followed the tour and was served at The Coffee Cup, they also deserve 10/10. I urge you to book this tour, take along some friends, they'll be very grateful to you.

Not to be missed in Bolsover
A truly memorable experience. All dates booked for 2022 and we cannot wait for 2023. A joyous day of gossip, trivia and fascinating facts delivered by a cultured lady. Afternoon tea at the “Coffee Cup” on Castle Street far exceeded expectations. A great day for all ages.

      The Baroness Bolsover returns….
It was a treat to be given the tour by the Baroness in full costume and in character throughout. Very professional, knowledgable and humorous ! I have lived in Bolsover all my life but I did learn a lot more history on the tour. Visitors will find it all very enjoyable.

Definitely would recommend this one hour gentle walk around the town center and St Mary and St Michael Church, followed by a fresh and tasty afternoon tea. Don't worry if you use a wheelchair or walker, the 'Baroness' reassured us she would give extra time for the tour. Having lived in Bolsover some 40 odd years ago I found many subjects surprising. Well done!

What a very entertaining afternoon! The Baroness is very knowledgable about ‘her’ town and full of little anecdotes to flesh out the facts of the history of the town and the ‘Noble Families’ associated with it. Afternoon tea at The Coffee Cup was excellent. We parked for free in Morrisons Car Park (unlimited time) but there are plenty of other places around town. Highly recommended for a fun and unusual afternoon out!

What a truly delightful way to spend time in Bolsover! The tour with the Baroness was full of humour, combined with very informative local history - and the occasional bit of town gossip. The Afternoon Tea at the Coffee Pot was a lovely way to finish; would thoroughly recommend to all.

The Baroness gave a wonderful tour of Bolsover, as we were transported back in time and were able to make connections with many landmarks in Bolsover but also the local area.
The tour was very inclusive with one of the group using a wheelchair and the Baroness made sure to be considerate with the route and crossing points. She also made sure that when we stopped to talk that this was in a shady area if we required, as it was a very hot day.
If you are looking for an interesting, great value day out then we would highly recommend this tour.
Not to mention the delicious afternoon tea from The Coffee Cup, which had a great Gluten free spread and kept us full for hours!

My friend and I booked on the tour as a quirky way to spend a Saturday together and catch up. We both love history, and afternoon tea, so this was a perfect outing for us!
We live relatively local to Bolsover but found the Baroness's tour so insightful and informative. I'd say even Bolsover locals would enjoy this as much as someone new to the area.
Afternoon tea was enjoyable and we spent a happy hour or so wandering the artisan market (first Saturday of the month) afterwards. We left Bolsover with a newfound appreciation for the town and both resolved to visit again soon.
The Baroness is a wonderful ambassador for the town and I can't recommend this tour highly enough.
