        great views
very good experience overall. we passed many big groups but were in a smaller group with out guide which was nice. our guide could have been a bit more talkative and friendly, he also was in a bit of a rush on the way down. but overall good experience. i would do again. we had hot chocolate and a sweet bread roll at the top (this is the breakfast, don’t be fooled saying it does include breakfast). great views. one recommendation i would have for the company would be to provide headlights and walking sticks. definitely not necessary for them to do so but would be a really nice touch.

        Amazing experience
The guides were amazing. Prepare for a difficult hike, wear hiking shoes. Rent hiking poles. This is a serious hike but it’s worth it

        Amazing
Amazing hike with fab views. It is pretty hard work though and was very cold at night so bring lots of warm clothes and enough water for the heat on the hike.

        Brilliant
Really great tour. Would highly recommend these guys. The camp is in such a magic place which i think is the best spot on the mountain and they're super warm and friendly. Make sure you take quite a bit of cash with you as there is entrance fee, potential to go to Fuego, snacks on the way up and potential camping hire. What you can do if you don't have enough cash when you get to base is rent the gear via a website. Really great tour and our group was only 9 so lovely and intimate too. Marshmallows and hot choc around the fire at night too. Incredible couple of Days thanks to Alan & Alex

        Watching Fuego and Agua
All in all it was an adventure for all four of us as a family and we enjoyed the experience very much. Also, our guides Willy and Edwin were more than helpful and very kind all through the experience, we appreciated them very much. The hike was really tough. Climbing from 2,400mt to 3,700mt in 5 hours was not everyone's cup of tea for sure. We gave multiple breaks on the way up, in total it took about 1 hour, but I would have preferred it to have 2 hrs break :) But Volcanoes Fuego and Agua gave spectacular views all through the climbing and the stay at the base camp. It was certainly worth the pain. We all had only one issue with this hiking trip and it was the insufficient and low quality sleeping bags we were given at the base camp. They didn't protect us from the cold; hence, we couldn't sleep much - which we all needed very much. I have a few recommendations for the future adventurers. Bring several layers (3-4 upper body and 2 for the lower body) of clothes and a coat/jacket that is good for 0 degrees Celcius temperature. Bring your hiking shoes not running or walking sport shoes, the path has long stretches of slippery parts. Strongly recommend to have walking sticks with you. If you can't bring yours, you can always rent them, 50 Quetzal for a pair is nothing comparing to what you'll get in return. Enjoy!

        Amazing hike!
Spectacular view with a great guide. Salvador picked us up in San Juan La Laguna and gave us some explanations regarding the place, very friendly. The view of the sunrise was incredible along with a hot chocolate and the breakfast afterwards was very delicious.

        Terrible customer experience. Don't book!
I didn’t receive a booking confirmation via email. I was trying to contact the host beforehand without success as the phone number provided was not working. I think on a trip like this it is important to speak in person in order to feel safe and well prepared. I tried to cancel, due to bad weather and a lack of information, which also was not possible. So I payed a ton of money for nothing. Terrible customer experience. Don't book!

        Overnight Acatenango hike
Overnight Acatenango hike was tough but memorable. Adan and Suriyal were excellent guides and made sure everyone was safe and doing well. We went with as a family and made friends with rest of the group. Spending New Year's eve on the mountain was magical. Guides cooked us breakfast on new year's day. I would have given a 5 star rating but for one thing that the company could improve on is the pre-trip communication which was lacking until we called the previous day. We did not know we needed a bigger back pack to carry our lunch and dinner which was provided. I would certainly recommend this company (TASA) and guides.

        Beautiful, unforgettable
An unforgettable view, knowledgeable and upbeat tour guide (Henry), hike itself was steep but fairly easy - couple breaks and overall short in duration

Great Hike with the best Guide!
Salvador picked me up from San Marcos. He’s a great guide, explained to us the history of the area, the lake, etc. I’m not in great shape and wanted to give up halfway through. Sal was motivating and kind … we still managed to be the first ones on site :)

A unique must do experience if you can handle it
The hike was one of our most fulfilling experiences ever. It is not easy, especially if you want to go to fuego to see live lava. The ambiance of the group is important because the time you will spend at the camp is the climax of your experience. Food was okay, all the carbs you need but would recommend some energy bars, there’s coffee on the road before the difficult part, you’ll appreciate the caffeine. The morning 5am sunrise hike is difficult if you struggled the previous day and depending on the weather you may see nothing. The guides were amazing, Cristian is a champ. Not using proper hiking shoes is NOT recommended

Tours and Adventure SA Acatenango Hike
Our guides Adan and Suriel were amazing! They kept the pace chill and do-able and even though we werent able to make it to base camp in time to go to Fuego, Adan took a few of us to see the sunset from a great angle. Super informative guides and friendly and I would definitely recommend Tours and Adventure SA for your guide company. Base camp tents were comfy enough and the lunch / dinner were adequate - would definitely recommend bringing snacks.

        Amazing hike
Awesome hike to the top - it’s less than a mile but it is a steep incline (think stairs). But the sunrise view makes it all worth it. Breakfast and coffee after was also very nice, down by the water. Note: If you are staying in Panajachel, you need to find your own way (charter a private boat @ 3AM) to make it to San Juan. They only pick up from San Juan and San Pedro. On a calm day the boat ride will take about a half hour. They’ll pick you up near the docks.
