Excellent tour of Rapa Nui with Nico of Kava Kava Tours

My husband and I had a great experience with Nico of Kava Kava Tours. He took us to sites of major importance on Rapa Nui. He managed to keep us moving at a pace that allowed us to see numerous sites, while at the same time keeping us comfortable and answering each of our many, many questions. We are impressed with his knowledge of the history of his island and people. Definitely bring your camera and comfortable walking shoes! And if you are interested in having a photo of yourself for that end-of-year letter to friends and family, take Nico up on his offer to photograph you. He is a good photographer!

Great KavaKava tour by Nico; we learned much...
Booked an all day tour and had a wonderful time. Nico met us on time at our hotel. He was an incredible source of information; from Rapa Nui culture to the detailed Island history. He gave us a full island tour, from the bird man area to the quarry and many other spots. Very highly recommended. He had extra waters, a fresh pineapple to share, a brilliant smile, and listened to us on what we wanted to see and learn.

Our time on Easter Island was short, but because we did this full-day tour [and the sunrise tour the next morning] with Nicolas we felt we really got to see and know the island. He's an enthusiastic, knowledgable and agreeable guide. He even dropped us off at the airport after we did the sunrise tour.

Memorable day in Rapa Nui with Tokerau!

We booked a full day tour of Rapa Nui with KavaKava and were lucky enough to have the services of Tokerau Hey as our guide. It was a truly memorable day, largely due to Tokerau's deep knowledge, passion and energy for introducing us to his island and its unique culture. We learned so much and, importantly, enjoyed his company as he took around all of the main sights and displayed genuine patience and charm as we bombarded him with questions! We cannot recommend more highly this tour. It is the best way to see the island, particularly if you only have limited time.

Amazing Day with Sabastian
Sebastian took us on a private tour of the island visiting all of the major sights. He is outstanding. He is Rapa Nui, incredibly proud of his culture and very knowledgeable about history, the Rapa Nui people and brings great perspective through his work with indiginous peoples around the world. He is very well travelled and his ability to compare and contrast the Rapa Nui with other Polynesian peoples is very interesting. He weaves in great stories and personal family history into the tour makes it a can't miss to do on the island. His English is very good.

Great excursion
Tokerau was an enthusiastic Rapa Nui guide who is passionate about his island and the Rapa Nui traditions. He picked us up at the airport and spent the day showing us the highlights of the island. We were here only one day and this was a great overview.

The best excursion of our lives!

We booked our private tour for our first day in Rapa Nui from Italy and the staff has been really kind and available to clarify all the details via email.
We had the excursion with Sebastiàn who is the best guide we have ever met!!!
He his a native Rapa Nui guy with a deep knowledge of his land and his culture, he has been very exhaustive in his explanations and super available in answering our questions and satisfy our requests.
The choice to have this tour the first day has been a good one, because the other days we have been able to visit the island by ourself but knowing a lot of things thanks to Sebastiàn.
I strongly recommend a private tour with Kava Kava!

Majestic tour
We spent 3 days with the Kava Kava tour and were incredibly happy with the service we got. We visited interesting places, learned the history, visited super restaurants and got many fantastic information about the island. We highly recommend this company to guide you into the fantastic place it is.

Easter Island close to complete

Excellent tour guide, very knowledgeable and no less enthusiastic made for an exceptional day - and more. Bad weather stopped the final part of the tour. The guide insisted on finishing the next day, no extra charge, to bring the history of the island to completion.

Absolutely Wonderful!

Nikolas made this tour a real treat, sharing family oral traditions as we viewed the various sites. He loves his homeland and culture and language and it makes all the difference. We had a terrific time, learned a lot, and enjoyed the day immensely.
