Eat Tokyo street food like a local on this culinary tour of the Shibuya neighborhood. Head to five food stops among Shibuya's back-alley eateries, stopping to try delicacies like "takoyaki" (octopus balls), Kobe beef skewers, and a traditional dessert. This tour also includes a visit to an underground food market and a drink.
What to Expect
One of the best ways to experience a new city is to eat your way around it. This walking food tour of Shibuya is a foodie’s dream. You’ll meet your guide at a pre-arranged spot near Shibuya station before escaping the usual tourist hot spots. Choose your departure time to suit your schedule.
Avoid overpriced restaurants and instead go to the side street haunts that locals love. As you hop between eateries, try all sorts of local favorites, such as takoyaki (octopus balls), Wagyu beef yakitori skewers, okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake), and lots of sushi. You’ll wash the delicious food down with shochu (rice liquor) and Japanese beer. For those with a sweet tooth, there’s also dessert to try too.
As well as the side streets, you’ll get to see a depachika (underground food hall)—another local favorite. This is a superb way to get a glimpse of Tokyo’s food culture from a local's perspective.

More food than you can eat, drinks at a couple of places (sake, sour, plum wine) and dessert. You should tip the guide. No train transportation is used during the tour.
