- Trail221658168130 contributionsNight in ShinjukuWe had a great night with Icchan - good food, good drinks and good company. Was good to have a guide on our first night around Tokyo. He even showed us an extra izakaya after the tour which was a fantastic little place for a few drinks.Written 13 January 2025

- S5179VItonyi0 contributionsA wonderfully great experience! Our tour guide’s name is Tiger. I went to 4 tours over a 2 day period, and this was the most fun and memorable of the four! Perhaps the alcohol helped a bit with that, but Tiger’s pleasant company was a definite element that evening. Tiger is a great facilitator and kept the discussion going in our small group; only 3 people that evening. It’s fantastic that he himself had spent some time living in Australia, as we had an Australian couple, and lived with Filipinos while he was there, as I am a Filipino-American traveler. He asked quick questions that opened us up to share information about ourselves, and it worked to get us to know each other more and more as the night progressed. By evening’s end, Tiger and my new Aussie friends felt like my best pals! The tour needed at a small bar owned and operated by a Japanese alumnus from U of Colorado. And it got very lively with him and some other folks in the bar. I’m stopping over in Tokyo again for a few days on my way back home to Manila. I hope I can get on his Mt. Fuji tour then. A wonderfully great experience! TonyWritten 13 January 2025

- N2023SMemilya0 contributions11/10 experience! In a trip to Japan thay exceeded every expectation, this tour was at the tippy top. Our guide was kind and knowledgeable and I learned so much about sumo wrestling and their everyday lives. We were so close to the practice ring, the wrestlers, and the master. It was an absolute privilege to be allowed to observe the athletes and their training. 11/10 experience. Do not miss!Written 13 January 2025
- Cameron L0 contributionsKazuki, Magical trip. TLDR: brilliantKazuki san was simply the most excellent guide ever. I know a thing or two and I couldn't stump him, we shared so much about our differing countries and I was much the better for it. Patient, knowledgeable, thoughtful, warm, the kind of person I wish I had as a friend back home. Also he has what it takes to get the food and drinks coming fast so you have time for a bit of wandering and photos in Golden Gai and other hot spots. Recommend for solo travellers who have questioning minds, or those who have an open night in Tokyo and can't decide what to do. MagicalWritten 13 January 2025

- LynMiranda0 contributionsFantastic experience! We had a fantastic experience with Tiger who patiently walked us through the local supermarket giving us useful tips on how to pick the right vegetables and fish. This was followed by an informative and hand on cooking session which culminated in a meal where we also got the opportunity to taste 4 different types of sake. Icing on the cake was getting the shopping tips and recipes for everything we learnt and enjoyed! Highly recommend!Written 12 January 2025

I live nearby, but Tokyo can be super overwhelming so I decided to book a tour to explore Akihabara. Danny was a great guide and he took the pressure off of us trying to figure things out with a language barrier. The maid cafe felt like a locals experience versus some I have seen that are marketed for tourists. We had fun exploring Akihabara, and we learned more with a guide than we could’ve on our own!

This tour was amazing, my guide Lam was very helpful when I was searching for items. We got to see so much of Akihabara without getting lost which was a bonus for me as a solo traveller. I would highly recommend this trip if you have interest in anything anime or game related! Thank you Lam!

Yuriho and Tommy did such a phenomenal job showing us around Akihabara and teaching us about the culture and hot spots of Akihabara. Not only did they tour us around and show us new sights, but they’re both wonderful conversationalists and beautiful people inside and out. They went above and beyond the tour, such as purchasing a popular snack for us because it was a must-try from the arcade, and showing us how to get back to a store after the tour had finished. It was a fantastic day, and I can’t wait to book more tours through magical trips just because of this magical experience we had today.
Highly recommend!!

The tour gave a great overview in regards to gaming and anime of Akihabara, which can be a rather confusing place, especially if you don't know Japanese. On top of it, it included some fun and very unique activities.
Yuriho was very helpful and explained any questions I had very well. Overall, she appeared very knowledgeable. She was also a great and interesting conversation partner regardless of whether it was about Akihabara and the tour or something else and with really good English skills. There wasn't a quiet moment with her.
I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to get to know Akihabara better and also experience something very memorable that they've probably never done before.

Tommy was our tour guide for this trip. I have to say he was the best to hang out with. He is a gamer and a streamer and that resonated perfectly with my wife and i since we both Game. He showed us all the hidden spots in Akiba that you would normaly would not be able to find. We explored retro Gaming stores and arcades, Figure stores anime stores and a maid Cafe. We had so much fun with Tommy!

Wonderful afternoon spent with Tommy an excellent guide exploring the world of anime and gaming . Visited many interesting places and learned about the culture of gaming and anime in Japan . Spent a fun hour in a Maid cafe which was an experience that we recommend that everyone does who visits Japan as there is nothing quite like it elsewhere . We recommend just going with the flow and leave all your inhibitions at the door ! Fun time in a Photo Booth too . Great guide who was helpful respectful and very ready to explain and answer any questions

My teenage girls loved the anime walking tour! Lam, out guide made it fun and tailored it to our interests. I would recommend this tour for those that want to get a great experience and don’t have the time to explore the area themselves. They know where all the hidden gems are.
Good times :)

Really great for first timers in Akihabara! Akihabara is a really overwhelming place, as there are things packed into so more spots. The meet up location was very clear, especially with the location very crowded. The tour takes us to a lot of the history parts of Akihabara that I would never find, even if I wandered around. Really grateful we had Kentake-San as our guide, as he was able to keep us informed and also helped flow us around, and helped our tour group diffuse some of the escalation situations that comes with not knowing the language of the culture there. For example, since we were doing the Maid Cafe, Kentake-San helped us figure the confusion on the bill, or when helped the other tour members out with special request things items that you would not expect. The tour made me really change my opinion on Akihabara, from a just a buy souvenirs place, to a place worth spending an extra day or two enjoy. Honestly really glad we did this, since doing the maid cafe solo or without the guide would have been really intimidating.

Shooon was a wonderful guide. He answered questions and shared interesting places to see and experience aspects of Anime and the culture in Electric City. The Maid Cafe was fun, family friendly and a unique window into Japanese modern culture for some. We really enjoyed some of the free time to just look and see Anime merch in stores.

We had the pleasure of getting a tour with Max. He was phenomenal! A well-informed tour guide, he answered all my questions about Japan and even gave me tips, the best spots, and exciting facts about the culture. My family and I had the most fantastic time during this tour, learning about Akihabara. My personal favorite was going to the maid cafe! It was a very kawaii experience!! I recommend this tour to learn not just about anime but also to have an open mind about the town's city, history, hobbies, and how much it’s grown! For the best experience, ASK QUESTIONS !!! You’ll be fascinated by so many things! Max even helped us get to our next location as we were still lost tourists in the city. Lovely, kind, and trusted tour guide!

Hi there,
Please kindly inform exactly which exit from the station as I was told there are usually many exits to one station
Thank you!!

Electric town exit, you get an image of where your guide stands at the tourist information. I found it fairly easy to find it.
