- asaf10 contributionsUnforgettable Sumo Experience – A Must-Do in Japan! What an absolutely amazing experience! From the moment we arrived, we were seated near the sumo ring, which set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The staff greeted us and asked what we’d like to drink, and I was really impressed with how well they spoke English – made everything so easy to understand. The food was incredible! It’s actually the same type of food the sumo wrestlers eat during their intense training – hearty, flavorful, and delicious. As we enjoyed our meal, a knowledgeable gentleman came out and gave us a fascinating explanation about the history and rules of sumo wrestling. It was the perfect way to immerse ourselves in the culture while enjoying great food and cold beers. Then, the real fun began! A couple of wrestlers came up to demonstrate their extraordinary flexibility and strength, showing off some of the rituals and moves that are part of sumo. The whole experience was so impressive and educational. To top it all off, we were invited to actually wrestle with the sumo wrestlers ourselves! I never thought I’d have the chance to step into a sumo ring, and it was an absolute blast. Definitely one of the coolest things I’ve ever done. If you’re in Japan, this is an absolute must-do experience. It’s unique, fun, and gives you a deeper appreciation for the tradition and skill of sumo wrestling. Highly recommend it!Written 8 January 2025
- fruittravels0 contributionsUnforgettable Mario Kart Adventure Through Tokyo with an Amazing Guide! The Mario Kart experience in Akihabara was absolutely phenomenal! Driving through iconic areas like Ginza, Tokyo Station, the Imperial Palace, and Akihabara was an unforgettable way to explore Tokyo. The thrill of cruising through the city streets in costume while soaking in the sights was beyond what we imagined—it was pure fun and adventure rolled into one. Tomomi, our guide, made the experience even better. He was fantastic throughout the tour, stopping at key spots to take pictures and videos of us. This meant we could fully enjoy the ride without worrying about capturing the moment ourselves. At the end of the tour, he shared all the photos and videos, which beautifully documented the entire journey. We had an amazing time and can’t recommend this experience enough. If you’re visiting Tokyo, make sure this is on your list—it’s a one-of-a-kind way to see the city. A big thank you to Tomomi for making it so special!Written 3 January 2025

- 346shwethap0 contributionsLocal, fun, personal and an adventure!Sho-san was an incredible guide. Polite and understanding and then as we got to know each other he made the experience more personal and fun. We are history needs and got to hear him tell us history and geography lessons while discussing areas of Japan that he likes and recommends. The food was amazing and not something I would try on my own, but thanks to Sho-san it was a fun and exciting way to try new things. We went to areas that were not familiar to tourists so be prepared with google translate or trust your guide. A very fun and informative experience.Written 23 December 2024
- Becflip0 contributionsExcellentThe experiment was phenomenal. The whole family enjoyed it with the sumo team getting everyone involved. Overall the experience was 11/10 Go BEN!!Written 22 December 2024

Our family of four took this hour-long class and it was very informative and enjoyable. We each "wired" junipers and learned how to manipulate them in an artistic way. The teachers were very knowledgeable and patient with us, helping guide us through the class. It was well done.

The property is gorgeous. Densely packed with an incredible assortment of bonsai and suiseki, the place was tranquil and yet overwhelmingly beautiful. We were invited to explore the aesthetically pleasing traditional home as well. I was bummed the master was away but apprentice Joseph was patient and helpful. We learned to wire a small conifer bonsai. The class was just me and my friend. A unique experience that was well worth a trip out of central Tokyo.

One of the highlights of our trip to Japan! It was great to visit all the famous parks and gardens beautifully manicured and the many applications of bonsai to the plants in the gardens. Visiting this bonsai museum was so impressive with the hundreds of examples of different plants. As we are from Australia, we could not take our workshop specimens home but it was great to have a 'hands-on' experience to understand the principles, tools and materials. A must for any beginner bonsai admirer!
