About
Explore both Toyosu and Tsukiji fish market in 3.5-hour with a friendly local guide. Tsukiji Inner(wholesale) Market, the world’s largest fish market has been relocated to Toyosu in 2018, leaving the outer(retail) market behind. Because of this, the huge inner wholesale area and consumer outer area are in two different locations. Experience both modern and nostalgic market and learn about the local culinary culture and taste the best foods! Meet up with your local guide at Shijo-mae station(Toyosu) and your guide will help you walk around modern Toyosu wholesale building and then take you to small family-run shops in Tsukiji, selling the best quality foods, drinks, kitchen utensils, etc.. You get to enjoy some of the free samples(Japanese green tea, Dashi soup etc..) while listening the histories and stories behind them along with the menu below. This tour includes; 1. Japanese omelet 2. Fried fish cake 3. Fresh Tuna sashimi 4. Sake 5. Sushi at a local Sushi restaurant

Had great morning exploring the new and old fish markets and sampling amazing food back in February. The sushi lunch at the end was fantastic. We were given loads of delicious food to try, it was worth every penny and our guide, Tomo was excellent.

This was a really awesome English speaking tour with tons of delicious food. Our guide, Tomo, was very attentive and informative. We were able to try lots of local delicious foods and were also given suggestions of various local vendors that weren't apart of the tour (local knife vendor, Wagyu, and strawberries). I highly recommend this tour to those who want to experience Tsukiji fish market

This was easily our favorite part of the trip. We didn't expect to like everything on the food tour, but we were pleasantly surprised when we did! The fish cake was the most surprising thing and the sushi lunch was fantastic. As English speakers, we felt a little uncomfortable at local spots, but our guide, Tomo, made the experience one we will never forget, Make sure to try the Aburi Salmon.

We joined the tour with Yoshi and had a great time! Group was small, so the tour felt personal and relaxed. Yoshi had great insights into different bits of the markets, and we enjoyed amazing food and drinks we otherwise wouldn't have discovered on our own. Well worth the time and money, would recommend!

Our family enjoyed exploring the new and old fish markets on December 28. Our guide Yoshimi was really knowledgeable about the history of wholesale fish commerce and its tremendous cultural significance. She showed us so many interesting ingredients that are essential to Japanese cuisine. The Toyosu Market was quiet while the Tsukiji Market was crowded with New Year shoppers, and Yoshimi brought both markets to life for us. The tour included tastes along the way plus sake and sushi tasting in the Tsukiji Market. At the end, the tour included an excellent sushi lunch.

Yoshimi gave great directions to the meeting point, and she took care in getting the 6 of us to each point on the tour. It was our first experience on a bus in Tokyo, and it was fun to see the city from the bus.

Tomo was very knowledgable and friendly. She gave us a lot of history and answered all our questions in a very helpful way. We got to try some really nice authentic foods, and were left completely stuffed by the end of it!

Tomo was the perfect guide and had answers for every question that we threw at her. My wife and I enjoyed an excellent morning learning about the markets, accompanied by a charming couple from Texas who make up our small group.

Our wonderful & knowledgeable tour guide, Mazda-san took us thoroughly through both fish markets and accommodated our interests. She was very informative and shared such exciting insights of the best restaurants for sashimi. And since she learned how much we loved sardines. She bought us fresh sardines which we never in our lives have eaten! And was excited to have us try the delicious & delectable huge & luscious grapes that are popular during the autumn season. This was an incredible tour, thank you Mazda-san for also taking us through the markets..we have such memorable souvenirs like the sashimi knife & fresh & delicious dashi!. Our sincere thanks, Lorie & Andrew (NYC-USA)

Tak is a great tour guide! He's friendly, pleasant, and very well prepared. We had a wonderfully smooth experience, with just enough out-of-the-way spontaneity (e.g. Tak showed us how to use the water ladles to wash our hands before approaching a temple).
