This was the absolute BEST thing we did on our recent trip to Tokyo! We went to 3 different ramen locations in the Shinjuku/Shibuya area - All 3 of which we would never have found on our own. Because our group is from Hawaii and familiar with ramen, our expectations were very high... This tour DELIVERED in every way! Not only were our taste buds very happy, we also learned A LOT about the history of ramen and the unique styles of ramen that exist today. Now we are able to determine what we enjoyed about each one and the ingredients that contribute to that enjoyment. Our tour guide, Frank, was an absolute BLAST to be with! He was very fun, knowledgeable and incredibly patient as my parents and I pummeled him with questions and requests. He accommodated us in every way which led to myself and my parents having an unforgettable experience that we will recommend to everyone we know who visits Japan!!!

This was a very educational evening tour. Our tour guide met us at our hotel and walked us through some excellent sections of town to the first shop. There we learned about the different kinds of Ramen and many different varieties. We didn't realize that each region of Japan is known for their ramen. The second location was a cab ride away and was a completely different kind of ramen. Once again, we were surprised by the variety, because back in the States it seems like Ramen is a defined dish. My wife and I thought it was 3 stops, but apparently we had signed up for a 2 stop tour, so make sure you confirm which tour you are getting when you sign up. Overall, an educational journey that filled our bellies and we recommend.

This was a truly unique experience. We got to be inside a real ramen kitchen and put together our own 2 delicious bowls, and they even made us some gyoza too! Not only did our group have the whole shop to ourselves, but we got to ask the owner whatever questions we wanted. Our guide helped translate, but the owner’s English was also great! 10/10 experience

Really fun and informative tour about vegan food and the history of Japan’s vegan roots! We got to see a lot of both Shibuya and Ebisu, and have some great food along the way. My favorites were the fruit sandwich and vegan “chicken”

Took this tour at the beginning of my trip to get the inside scoop on Tokyo's vegan food scene. Everything on this tour was soooo delicious and 100% vegan. Our guide was super friendly and informative as well. We ate at four places with a combination of sweet & savory options and by the end we were stuffed- definitely well worth it!

The ramen shop is closed and you get exclusive access to the kitchen. Not only did we get to cook ramen after eating we got to ask the Ramen Master questions and also check out how he makes his soup. Great experience and insight into how a ramen shop runs. This experience is truly a ramen lovers delight. Thank you for an amazing experience.

Interested in learning more about ramen in an authentic ramen shop?? Definitely try this experience!! The shop is closed for the tour and you get to make 2 highly different types of ramen with Mr. Sakamoto (a 3rd generation ramen chef!!). I was a bit worried I would mess up but both our guide and Mr. Sakamoto were there to help the entire time. It was also great that we could ask questions while enjoying ramen and freshly made gyoza as an extra treat. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended experience! I have a bit of a sensitive stomach and wanted to learn more about vegan options in Japan. I’m so glad I did this tour as I greatly enjoyed the food! My group went to several locations around Tokyo and I was able to pick from several options at each stop. My personal favorite was the fruit sandwiches with vegan whip cream! We also learned about the history of veganism in Japan along the way~ overall 10/10 experience!

Really interesting experience. The ramen chef was super friendly and he provided lots of insight into what goes into making ramen in japan. Definitely recommended!

Didn't know Tokyo had such great vegan options. Really liked the variety of options and and the fact that the locaons were more local areas! Definitely would go again !

Daisy our guide really was amazing as she shared with us the history of vegan food in Japan and navigated us through the city. It's not easy finding vegan spots in Tokyo especially when you are new to the city. She took us to some very unique places. We visited 4 places and had more than enough to eat. I really enjoyed the vegan fruit sandwiches they were amazing.

My partner and I went on this tour because we were curious about the vegan options Tokyo has to offer. Although neither of us are vegan, we still wanted to try things out. Long story short, the food was fantastic! Our guide did an amazing job showing us around and telling us about all the food on the tour. Every location we went we enjoyed all the options, and we're definitely going to be booking again tours from them again!

So glad I did this tour at the beginning of my trip. The guide gave soo many tips on vegan places around and also other things to check out during our stay. Traveling with a vegan, we were nervous about the food we were able to eat together but this was great - as a non vegan some of my favorite food I had throughout my trip was on this tour!!

As huge ramen lovers, we needed to join this tour in Tokyo of course! We have some great vegan options at home and even make it ourselves sometimes, but the ramen on this tour topped it by a long shot! The vegan miso ramen at the first shop was outstanding and has to be one of my favorite ramen I've ever eaten - the kids enjoyed the spicy tantanmen at the second shop the most. Our guide made us feel welcome and he was able to answer all our questions as well. The same tour company also does a Vegan Food Tour which we joined before this one, so we already knew we were in good hands - thank you!!

We loved this tour and are glad we did it so early on during our trip, so we had an idea of where to go and what to look out for! Of course you can use apps like Happy Cow which we would have relied on, but this tour really showed us how varied vegan cuisine in Tokyo can be and what we should check out while here. Our guide was super knowledgeable and open to questions about vegan food but also general questions about life in Japan - she was very friendly to us and our kids :) Definitely a highlight during our trip and we would recommend it to any vegan person trying to learn more about this scene in Japan!
