        Friendly and knowledgeable guide
This was an amazing experience. Andy was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was open to changing the itinerary but also mindful of keeping us on track. The landscape is beautiful! Eilean Donan castle is very picturesque. We got to see the highland cows which were very cute and had a stop at Lock Ness. I would highly recommend this tour company.

        Perfect Highland Tour
Wow! Andy gave us the most marvelous tour of the Highlands. We visited Millionaire's View, Shin Falls, Dunrobin Castle, two distilleries. At each stop, Andy gave us enough time to explore and experience each place. He custom tailor's each tour to his client's wishes. Andy graciously and generously shares his knowledge of the area, which is extensive. We've hired many private tour guides and Andy is the best.

        Awesome guide!
Our guide Andy was positively the best tour guide we’ve ever had – this from a couple that has traveled on multiple continents for decades. It’s one thing to have a guide who can point out the sights and sprinkle in a bit of local color, quite another – thank you, Andy – for telling the stories of the region, often with gut-busting humor. We would highly recommend Highland Discovery Tours and this special guide for making a most memorable trip.

        Beautiful day in the Highlands.
Fantastic tour! Andy was very knowledgeable and accommodating. The whisky was great, and the scenery, even better. We would recommend this tour whole heartedly, and can't wait to come back and see more.

        Fantastic experience.
Went of the Speyside Tour, really enjoyed it. Andrew was amazing through the booking process and our driver on the tour was Angel, who was very friendly and ensured that we have a good time. The car was nice and clean, the tours and tastings at the distilleries were all pre-booked and Angel was quite knowledgable about the distilleries and the region and ensured we got the best out of our visit. When you don't realise that you have spent 6-7hrs on a tour, thats when you really know how good it was. Highly recommended!!

        Amazing experience!
It was amazing! The Whiskey tour was great, we had a very comfortable SUV, beautiful views and our guide Andrew was amazing. He was accommodating in every way. I would return to Scotland and book any tour with him again.

        12/10 Stars
Our tour was excellent. Andrew was very knowledgeable and personable. He even surprised us by having a friendship dram at millionair view. Another plus was Andy helping and being so kind to my three year old grandson. He really was amazing. 12/10 stars.

        Speyside distilleries
Great tour with Andy to Speyside distilleries. The company was able to arrange tastings at three distilleries on very short notice after another tour fell through.

        Best Highlands Experience Imaginable
Our tour with Andy was truly fantastic and the highlight of our several week European vacation. Prior to the tour I let Andy know that I would be proposing to my girlfriend on this day. He helped me with all the logistics, captured some amazing photographs of us, and even brought champagne so we could raise a glass in celebration. Isle of Skye was breathtaking, and I cannot believe how much Andy was able to fit into a single tour. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the area and really brought the tour to life. Next time we are in the Highlands we will be booking another tour with Andy as his service was truly second to none

        Amazing Experience
I recently booked a tour with Highland Discovery Tours and I have to say, it was an amazing experience! The booking process was super easy and we were able to adjust our schedule to fit in with our cruise ship arrival. Our friendly driver, Andrew, was waiting for us on time and greeted us with a warm smile. Throughout the tour, Andrew provided us with fascinating facts and stories about the various sights we visited. We explored Inverness, Loch Ness, the battlefield of Culloden, and the Castle of Urquhart. Each stop was unique and breathtakingly beautiful. What I loved most about this tour was how personal and comfortable it was. Andrew was a pleasure to chat with and we enjoyed some great conversation along the way. The tour was perfectly paced and we never felt rushed or overwhelmed. Overall, I highly recommend booking a tour with Highland Discovery Tours, especially if you're arriving with a cruise ship. It's the perfect way to explore the stunning Scottish Highlands and get a taste of the local culture and history. Thank you so much for an unforgettable experience!

        A must-book adventure!
HUGE gratitude to Andy for the incredible Isle of Skye tour! He was extremely accommodating, very knowledgeable and personable, and an all-around great guy to spend the day with. His tour was well-designed, and he made sure to check in with us about our needs and preferences throughout the day. And, he recommended great whiskys! We would highly recommend this tour if you are looking to cover a lot of Scottish highland ground and learn interesting facts in great company.

An expensive taxi ride, not a guided tour
If you are looking for an enjoyable tour that will provide information about the sites you are seeing, I would avoid this tour. We thought we were getting a wonderful, personal tour that would be informative and fun. Instead, we were met at the hotel by a taxi driver who told us he would be the driver. We were told that Andy was on a different tour that day. We spent the day in the back of a taxi with a man who is not from the area, did not know anything about the sites we were seeing, and who drove like a taxi driver. The taxi was not a nice one like the classic ones you find in London, but closer to a New York City cab. The taxi driver was kind, he never waited to make sure we were settled and buckled before taking off. At the beginning of the tour he asked if we wanted the long walk or short walk. We are quite active so said the longer walk, not realizing that the longer walk would bring us on a completely different tour. That was not explained to us, so while the Isle of Skye is beautiful, we did not see many of the things we had been excited to see. When we asked about one of the castle ruins we were going to the driver said he did not know anything about it. We contacted the tour company afterwards once we had wifi and were told that this is what we paid for, but he would give us a small refund due to being stuck in a taxi and not a nicer vehicle. The tour company also said we should have confirmed the stops prior to starting the tour and it was our fault the tour was changed. If all you are looking for in a day trip to the Isle of Skye is to take some photos and not get any information, you could do this tour, but I would recommend doing a big bus tour instead. You will save money and definitely be more comfortable.

Say No to the Isle of Skye Tour with this company!
This was NOT a Tour! It WAS a taxi ride to 4 places. The driver was polite but knew NOTHING ABOUT SCOTLAND! For the price we paid we could have hired anyone off the street. We had booked the northern part of Isles of Skye but because we did not understand what the driver was asking we had a different drive. At no point was this a tour! We understand that if you get Andy you have an entirely different experience but otherwise just say NO to this over priced taxi ride!

Highland Distillery private tour - so much fun!
We had a great day touring and tasting at four Highland distilleries - some more familiar and some lesser known to us. All interesting and delicious! Andrew was a wonderful driver and guide! Personable and friendly, we enjoyed chatting with him about every day life in this region. Very comfortable and convenient ride - he picked us up and delivered us to our hotel. It was worth the cost to be able to go at our own pace. We would definitely do it again!

Use a different Tour group if you really want a tour!
If looking for just a private driver I guess this is a fair option but a pricy one. When we booked our "tour" we were expecting the driver to know the itinerary along with some historical facts about Scotland. We reached out to Andy regarding our disappointment, his response is as follows, "I am sorry you felt that you didn't learn about Scotland from our tour but we are more about scenery and photo opportunities rather than lots of historical facts and we cant please everyone."

Our family of 5 had a great day with Andy. We were off a cruise ship which docked in Invergordon and Andy was there in a nice vehicle ready to meet us. It was a very busy day in most of the tour stopping points but Andy was determined for us to see as much as possible and worked in all of the highlights we had discussed in advance as well as a couple extra. He was also very flexible in working in an extra attraction for part of our group that didn't want to participate in the main tour that he ran in parallel. Overall we found Andy very pleasant and knowledgeable.
