      Custom tour with Ken
We had a great tour with Ken on our spring break. I was traveling with a group of 6 and we contacted Ken in advance telling him what we’d like to see. He worked up an itinerary and price and only required a small deposit. We were able to see everything we requested and enjoyed whisky, tea cakes and water between stops. Spoke to Ken about my Scottish ancestry and during one stop he even did some research for me. I was even able to arrange for Ken to pick us all up and take us to the airport at the end of our visit. I would highly recommend booking a tour with Highland Tours and Transfers.

      Great Speyside Distillery Tour
Ken gave us an amazing tour of Speyside distilleries. He did an amazing job catering the itinerary to our specifications. Ken is personable and knowledgeable - would highly recommend one of his tours. A couple of days later, Ken also helped us arrange an airport transfer. Overall - we had a great experience and would highly recommend Highland Tours and Transfers.

      Best private tour in Scotland
Ken is a wonderful host! He chalked out a plan for us for our trip from Edinburgh to Loch Ness. He is an excellent guide and his anecdotes about Scottish history along the way helped us understand our surroundings much better. He even arranged Whiskey, water and snacks for us. Thank you very much Ken!

Ken Mackinnon is the best tour guide in Scotland!
Ken Mackinnon is the best tour guide! He picked us up just outside of the dock. He took us to see a rare black highland cow, took us to Inverness to Urquardt Castle, Culloden before doing some quick souvenir shopping before getting back to our ship on time! No one will take care of you better than Ken!

Someone you could easily spend a day driving with!
Ken did our transfer from the Aviemore Hotel to Inverness Airport. The cab was a large mercedes minibus with plenty of room for luggage and 8 passengers (perfect for skiers!) Ken's driving is fab and our nervous passenger didn't flinch once (which is really saying something). He's also really knowledgeable about the area and taught us some great stuff while having a cracking sense of humour and giving us a good laugh! Highly recommend him for tours as he's easily someone you could spend a whole day driving with!

Great day exploring Scotland from Invergordon port
We had a private tour with Ken as a big family of 6 adults and 2 children. Ken customized the tour for us. We went to visit Tomatin distillery and Cawdar castle. Ken was very good in all the communication before the trip asking for our wishes, gave his recommendations, planned the day, took us to a great place for lunch by the Castle. Highly recommend Ken for Invergordon and the area tours.

      Amazing Personal Tour Guide!!
Ken was such an amazing guide! Completely customized a tour for us that covered all the places we wanted to see. We were 8 people altogether and everyone had a different place they wanted to visit. Ken was able to cover them all and even added a few extra stops that we didn’t know existed. Ken was extremely knowledgeable , very personable and has a great sense of humor. He was so easy going , never rushed. He allowed us the time we wanted in all of our stops. I would highly recommend him because he made the entire process a pleasure and was an absolute bargain compared to the tour companies! Give him a call , you’ll be glad you did! Absolute pleasure Ken!! Thank you for helping us take our dream tour!!!! Ryan Baynes & Family

Great experience with this tour guide!!!
Ken was unavailable, but the guide who took his place, Billy, was fantastic in every way! We had wanted to see the falconry site and show as well as Dunrobin Castle, although at first we headed in a different direction as Billy was aware the falconry show had been closed the prior day and he did not want to waste our time. As such, we started off going south, and seeing some of the natural sites in that direction including some Outlander sites. However, a little while later Billy was advised that the falconry show was indeed available, so he promptly did an about-face and made sure we went that way instead, even though it involved extra driving for him. We not only got to see the falconry show and Dunrobin Castle, which were both terrific, but also beautiful scenery en route, including a river where the salmon were spawning. It was the highlight of my day that I caught a picture of one of the salmon jumping, just using my cell phone! it was a wonderful day. Billy was a terrific guide, and very helpful and kind as well. Highly recommended!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Amazing, warm and insightful!
We did a bespoke Speyside whisky tour with Ken. He was absolutely the best. He went above and beyond for our honeymoon, getting us prosecco and chocolates to enjoy! His stories, warmth, and enthusiasm about sharing Scottish culture is something we won't forget. He also showed us many outlander filming locations and historical points because we told him we enjoyed the show. Lastly, he helped us snag the best whiskey deals for gifts :). Thanks Ken!! Hope we get to see you again!

      Responsive guides who are fun!
My wife and I had a free day in Inverness and realized the night before we should book a tour. Ken responded very fast to our last minute booking request and we had things set! He picked us up on time and was very flexible with us considering we didn't have a set agenda. We ended up going to Loch Ness and doing a wonderful whiskey tasting. You won't go wrong booking with them!

      A Day Out in Inverness
We thought our travel agent had purchased tickets for the day along with scheduling the driver, but she didn’t. Ken was able to come up with things to do for us on the fly, was very knowledgeable and interesting, and what could’ve ended up a disaster turned into a great day because of him. Highly recommend! Great experience.

VIP Bucketlist experience in the Scottish Highlands!
Thank you Ken for showing us such a wonderful time today! Weloved your sense of humor, and you are so knowledgeable about Outlander! Even a seasoned fan, such as myself, had something to learn. The inside scoop at Simon "the fox" Fraser's burial place made us feel like VIPs! Thanks also for tailoring the tour to our specific needs. My daughter's loved the newly opened Nessie exhibit, and we are all chattering away about our favorite parts of the tour. We enthusiasticly recommend this tour company!

Ken was the most amazing guide who took us to Loch Ness, Culloden, and Cawdor. He gave us constant commentary while driving and you could certainly tell he was a total Outlander fan!! The tour was so rich in history as well. Despite a dreary start, by day's end the sun was shining and we were smiling in the all the beauty we experienced with Ken's expertise.

So Bering experience, but a huge must do. The loss was immense. This historical area was easily accessible and respectfully preserved
