Guide didn’t show up. We chose the 1pm time slot on a Sunday and waited for 30 minutes at the temple gate. No one came. Next time I’d contact the tour operator directly instead of trusting TripAdvisor’s confirmation and reminder. My refund request is still pending. Hope I get it soon. It’d be a total kill to TripAdvisor/Viator’s credibility if I don’t get a refund.

A fantastic performance in the dark brought me to another dimension. The performers showed great skills with enthusiasm. The powerful rhythm of the drum heightened the tension. It took advantage of the wonderful location of Ritsurin garden, one of the most valuable Japanese gardens in Japan. Enclosed by bushes we had privacy. It was an ideal place for Nouveau Cirque. One negative point is that hidden behind the front audience, I couldn't see some movements.
