        Look No Further.
The day is beautifully laid out by a thoughtful person with a tremendous amount of local knowledge. Don’t be intimidated by the long day or drive time. Harlem keeps the tour moving from one carefully selected stop to the next, and his upbeat, enthusiastic commentary kept our entire group looking forward to the next adventure from start to finish. If you’re searching for an authentic, comprehensive Costa Rica experience, look no further. Harlem is your man!

Probably the best tour of my life
Everything was perfect about this day. Harlem and Stefano were my favorite guides ever! We saw so much, learned so much and experienced so much. I took 2 other tours in my time in Costa Rica and they didn’t even come close to this. Everyone in the group felt the same way and kept repeating how great the day was. Don’t miss this tour and try your best to get Harlem and Stefano as your guide and driver. They will not disappoint!

Fun day trip to La Fortuna area
Fun day doing a lot of different activities! It was a nice quick overview of a lot of different aspects of Costa Rican geography and culture. The largest chunk of time was spent at the hot springs at a resort in La Fortuna, for about 3.5 hours. If you’re looking for access to the national park and more info about the Arsenal Volcano itself, this isn’t the tour for you. The lunch and dinner meals were pretty good and snacks were provided at one stop along the way. There were also multiple stops to buy snacks and souvenirs. Overall a fun day, but make sure you really read the itinerary to ensure it’s what you’re looking for.

We had a great time experiencing nature and enjoyed the tour
My wife and I liked very much this tour. This is a complete day tour so I highly recommend wearing comfortable trekking shoes. You will also have different weather across the day because you'll go from San Jose down to sea level and after go up in the mountains were is cooler (light jacket and raincoat are advised). We loved the experience with the capuchin monkeys, they are friendly and playful. Our guide Alex was resourceful and provided guidance in how to interact with them. We also had the chance to see the process of gold extraction by local miners (this was a plus because it was not expected, kudos for Alex) at Abangares. At the cloud forest in treetopia park you can expect to have amazing views from the hanging bridges and see wild life. We did a 2 Km guided walk within the forest. We saw quetzals, coaties, tarantula, shrews and many other birds. Also on our way back to San Jose Alex showed us a river which seemed to be a kind of small hot spring. There were different stops during the day where we could go to the restroom and to buy water or snacks. Credit cards were accepted in all the places we visited which was convenient. In overall we had a great time and enjoyed the tour.

        Excellent experience
Kapi kapi. Steve and Luis were excellent guides and we enjoyed every stop and experience along the way. We got to see sloths, iguanas and even a scarlet macaw on our way back in addition to all the stops in the description. Steve was knowledgeable and I learned a lot.

        A must do.
I can’t say enough about Stephen, our guide. He was attentive and patient. and was a wealth of historical and geographical knowledge. His love for Costa Rica was infectious. The tour itself was chock full of stunning views of the city, the valleys, the natural habitat. I especially appreciated the stop at the indigenous center. It is a 12-hour excursion, but it wasn’t taxing. The visit to the Paradise Hotel’s hot springs was rejuvenating. The meals were basic local food. The van driver, Jonathan, deserves a shout out for navigation rush hour traffic and hairpin turns. It was worth every penny.

Alex is a great guide! Thanks to him we saw not only capuchin monkeys, but also two red macaws and a family of howler monkeys on the way to Monteverde. Alex knows a lot about Costa Rica, has shared exciting information and was able to answer all our questions in detail. He was extremely attentive, humorous, and showed us along the way e.g. the national flower and the national bird of Costa Rica, as well as coffee plants and an old ficus tree. We also stopped at beautiful photo spots where we could enjoy the view over the beautiful hilly landscape and do forltos. It's a bit of a winding ride and Alex drove very safely. I have a star deduction for the booked tour in Monteverde Cloud Forest, as I had slightly higher expectations. We saw many beautiful plants, a tarantula and different birds, but unfortunately no quetzal, like other groups on the same afternoon. Our external guide didn't seem very enthusiastic about the matter, which was a shame. The other guides in the park made a lined-up impression, so there is some luck here too. All in all, I am very happy with the trip, because it has always been my dream to see the red macaws. Alex made this possible and I am very grateful to him for that. Pura vida.

We had a really great tour with Juan, our driver and tour guide. From San Jose, it was a long trip to Monteverde, but Juan kept it interesting with stops along the way. We saw, learned and experienced a lot! Thank you, Juan, who was always looking out for us. We enjoyed all the stops, visiting the Caldera beach with its black sand and loved seeing the local monkeys, the coffee farm and the charming cafe where we had lunch. He demonstrated how the calabash tree's fruit, nearly the size of a soccer ball, when dried can be used for bowls. He showed us a hallow Ficus tree with an inside big enough for 2 people to stand inside. We also got to stop at a giant fruit stand and buy some fresh fruit.
At Salvatura, Monteverde, we had another wonderful guide, Mauricio. He took us through a 2-mile rainforest hike, crossing 8 canopy bridges. He had so much knowledge at his fingertips, he could have been a rainforest professor! He knew where and how to spot things we never would have seen on our own. We saw a quetzal, hidden bats, and a tarantula! He brought along a big telescope on a tripod and had a green lazer and flashlight to help us see things easily.
We will remember this whole trip forever. Thank you!

The trip to Manuel Antonio National Park starts early and ends at a comfortable time, though it is a long journey from San José. However, there are plenty of stops along the way to make it more manageable. Our guide, Augustine, was fantastic—he gave us space to enjoy the ride quietly but was also attentive and willing to answer any questions we had. He’s incredibly skilled at spotting hummingbirds, and it was wonderful hearing about his experiences.

At the park, you get approximately three hours, with about 1.5 hours to relax at the beach and one hour for the trail, followed by lunch. Both breakfast and lunch were very good. However, keep in mind that the trip is lengthy due to the distance from San José, so it may not be ideal if you’re uncomfortable with extended travel.

Had a great time on this trip. Got picked up on time, Oscar our tour guide was very warm and knowledgeable with lots of information about Costa Rica and its people, flora and fauna. Made interesting stops at all the places mentioned in the tour posting, and another one at a coffee plantation just before lunch. The hanging bridges trail was breathtaking as expected, we were with Carlos, a different but equally outstanding tour guide for this part of the trip. It is all together a long day trip though, we left San Jose around 7am and didn't make it back until 7pm, so be prepared. Honorable mention to our driver William as well. Wonderful experience all around

This tour was more than I expected! Juan was our driver/tour guide and he was so knowledgeable. We had such a delicious Costa Rican meal after our little tour of the coffee plantation. We had another tour guide, Eduardo, that guided us through the Cloud forest and he was extremely knowledgeable as well. I appreciated that the Cloud forest tour was a slower pace walk which gave us the opportunity to soak everything thing, it was breathtaking on the hanging bridges. Thank you Juan for getting us there and back safely! If you get car sick like me, I HIGHLY recommend taking some Dramamine with you because the road is very swervy and gets bumpy going up the Monteverde road.

It was good I enjoyed all the stops . However lunch is an hour diversion from Monteverde which felt very unnecessary especially given how much time you spend in the bus as it is . The food however yes was very good . The guide at the hanging bridges was exceptional but again there was waiting around there for other groups . It's good but I feel like it could be better organised to maximise time off the bus.

The forest was very beautiful. Lots of gorgeous plants and animals pointed out and discussed by the guide. On the way there, we stopped at a mountain town and had lunch, which was very good. The restaurant had a coffee field behind it so we looked around and bought some coffee from the store. Everything was wonderful and the driver Juan is the best. He answered anything we thought to ask. For the forest, pack a raincoat!

Juan was an excellent, careful driver and kind guide. While the trip was a lot of driving, it was worth it for those not renting a car on the difficult and pothole-riddled roads. The hanging bridge tour was 2 hours long (at Selvatura Adventure Park) and, while I would have preferred a more difficult hike, our second guide showed us some really interesting wildlife and was very knowledgeable.
