My husband and I were so glad we made the tiny splurge for this service. After a long flight and a hectic airport, this was a welcome comfort and ease. We used them from international flight to the hotel and then back the next morning for an island hopper. Both drivers were lovely, helpful and informative. (I'm making this note partially so that I have them on file to use again next time!)

Made use of Tahiti Private Services for private group transfers to and from Papeete airport in May 2023, September 2023 and May 2024. On all occasions, the experience has been faultless. Scheduling and paying for transfers was simple. Driver was prompt, safe and polite. Vehicle was clean and in good condition. Already plan on utilizing again in June 2025....

The driver was there when we landed as promised and even asked if we needed to use the ATM so we had local currency. Great service. It was great to know that we were assured a ride but apparently flights come in at ungodly hours routinely so there were plenty of options. The Intercontinental was less than 5 mins away so probably not worth the expense.

Absolutely amazing service! We had 4 transfers scheduled with this company. Every one was on time. All the drivers were courteous, informative about the area and very helpful. We do not hesitate to recommend them and will use them again if we are fortunate enough to return to Tahiti.

I'm writing this from a travel agent's perspective because I think anyone else who is in my shoes would benefit from this. I was fortunate to come across Tahiti Private Services with Bertrand and Damien on a recent trip for a client that I planned. Due to some unforeseen major disruptions with Air Tahiti, my clients called me as it happened asking for a solution that would still allow them to have the honeymoon they were promised. I immediately got in touch with Bertrand at Tahiti Private Services through WhatsApp and within the hour, I was able to work with him to ensure that my clients would be picked up upon arrival in Tahiti and taken to their next destination along with some additional touring that allowed them to see a side of Tahiti that they otherwise would not have. My clients were in touch with me the whole time and let me know how smooth the process was with the pickup was and how efficiently Bertrand handled the whole situation. I cannot stress the importance of having a tour guide/vendor that communicates effectively and delivers a consistent stellar service. I plan on using Bertrand and Damien for all my future trips. What a find in Papeete. We used Bertrand four times to transport us while in Papeete. First, he drove us from the airport to our hotel prior to our cruise. We then asked him to transport us from the hotel to the cruise terminal. He was on time and helped us beat the crowds for embarkation. At the end of the cruise, he met us to take us to our day room hotel and finally to the airport for a late-night flight. Bertrand was always on time or early, very friendly, and has a very clean/comfortable Mercedes van. When looking for an island tour or a private transfer, I whole heartedly recommend Bertrand and his company.

We were booked by our hotel for transfers on our initial arrival for only one night in Papeete, then on to Bora Bora via domestic air. Bertrand walked us into the airport and stayed with us through check-in, handling the communication with the desk and saving us some money on luggage. After our stay on Bora Bora, we booked Bertrand for our transfers back in Papeete to another hotel and then to our cruise ship. The night before returning, we discovered we needed an additional covid PCR test for our cruise which had to be turned around within hours. We contacted Bertrand by email at night and he quickly responded that he could take care of it. He found a lab and got us there 5 minutes before they closed where we were successfully tested. Even though we were just transferring, Bertrand was still very personable and informative so we feel like we received our own private tours. It is rare to find a business anywhere that is so helpful and responsive. We highly recommend Tahiti Private Services for any and all services on the island of Papeete and look forward to returning and booking with them again.

Relocating from Hawai'i and the change in entry requirements including restrictions for flights created multiple rescheduled dates. Bertrand was incredibly accommodating and also took the time to validate and verify requirements which was imposed by the French High Commission in FP. We had to reschedule approx. 3 times and each time, Bertrand was not only accommodating but genuinely concerned and ensured what the current restriction information included. Before we even arrived in Tahiti, we had such a great experience and felt reassured once we arrived in Tahiti we would have transportation services available to us. With a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 small kids), our rental car would not accommodate the 11 pieces of luggage we had, thus, Bertrand assured his vehicle would have the capacity to transport our items. As the borders opened and we were able to fly to Tahiti from LAX, we wanted to explore the Papeete market (as we have done in the past) with our entire family. Since our flight arrived at 5am, Bertrand confirmed the luggage storage facility was still not available as the space was used for the COVID testing team, however, we were able to store our luggage with him which made it easier for us to keep with our schedule of spending time at the market before heading out to short-term rental. After some time at the market, Bertrand drove us back to airport to get our rental car and we all left to our home. He was more than just a transportation service - as we needed to exchange our USD to XPF and the currency exchange kiosk was closed at the airport, Bertrand graciously drove us to one of the resorts to change some currency at the front desk. Beside the exceptional services he provided, he also provided us with so many great local tips and spots from restaurants, areas for kids, resorts, etc... Bertrand was the perfect resource to great us upon our arrival to Tahiti - he was very patient, understanding and incredibly professional. He even came to the rental and internet (I purchased mobile internet) areas with me to ensure everything was ok. As I speak little French (my wife is from France and fluent), Bertrand communicated in English and there was NO communication barriers for any of us. As a frequently traveler who has used transportation and driver services, Bertrand was the best experience and such a great person with his deep knowledge of the island, but, also world events and information without bias. Not only would I recommend Bertrand and his services, but, I was even encourage you to us him even if you may not think you need transportation services. For those who are staying at a resort and have the resort transportation services, I would recommend using Bertrand when you arrive and take some time in the Papeete market where he can shed some further info and tips and then drive back to the resort where Bertrand can tell you more about the island and also share inside local tips. This would be a great way to start your trip in French Polynesia - even though everyone on island is incredibly friendly, Bertrand is exceptional and in Hawai'i (where we relocated from ), Bertrand has the ALOHA spirit and we are so glad we connected with him. With any family or friends who will be traveling to Tahiti, we will definitely use Bertrand's transportation services.
