We were a group of +60 year olds on the 'West Island Trip' and this tour is definately not recommended for older people, it is exhausting, dangerourous, drawn out and hard work.
To start with we were waiting for our driver to pick us up and he arrived with 2 people in his vehicle already. The car was only suitable for 4 passengers and there were 4 of us, simply far too unsafe and uncomfortable to squeeze four more people in. Eventually the driver left and another vehicle arrived and he wanted IR400,000 to take us to the terminal stating it had become a 'private transfer'. Following much discussion we eventually were on our way.
The terminal was a nightmare with 100's of people waiting to board various boats for island travel around bali.
We were eventually ready to board the boat, there were lots of boats backed up to the beach and we were required to walk into the water and climb up onto the rear end. This process involved removing your shoes placing them into a bin prior to boarding. Once on board the 96 seater boat sat 8 people across in very cramped and hot conditions. It gets worse, on arrival you were required to disembark the same way but this time as your feet hit the bottom you landed on sharp coral which was extreemly painful.
We saw a young man, Agus, holding our name and he was our driver guide for the day. Agus was the highlight of the day, very friendly, obliging and happy to show his island to us.
Now comes the walk to his car through what could be best decribed as a garbage tip, there were six of us in our car which was comfortable and clean and we set of on a 'roller coaster' trip on the roughest and narrow roads, a 'thrill seekers' paradise.
We eventually arrived, a little shaken, at Kellingking Cliff and Agus eventually found a parking spot amongst the hundreds of tour vehicles. We then walked through a village to the cliff. The view was amazing and the highlight of the trip howevere it required transversing on a lot of uneven and steep tracks.
The island is made up of very sharp and uneven limestone, a nightmare, esspecilly if you were to trip and fall.
The roller coaster continued and the roads got worse till we arrived at Broken Beach, a great photo location and the walk continued to 'Angel Billabong' which was OK, sort of. We then had to walk up a large set of concrete stairs, each step was at least an 18" plus step up, or half a metre. Eventually at the top of the climb was a very small restaurant where we had lunch (included).
Following lunch we travelled down the hill to Crystal Bay Beach where we were left for 2 hours before being taken back to the boat area where we waited another hour before boarding through the coral again climbing onto the boat and back to Sanur.
Maybe the snorkling trip would be worth the the effort.

The tour was as advertised. The first 3 beaches were iconic and worth seeing and visiting.
Not the fault of the tour but the one really bad thing is the amount of litter that has been discarded everywhere. A disgrace to the tourists who littered and a disgrace to the money grabbing locals for not preventing it or doing anything to clean it up.
Crystal beach was a disappointment - this is not in anyway an exceptional beach - Kuta is much better and less densely populated. It sort of fills up a 2 hour block on the schedule. My advice would be, if your fit enough, go down the steps to the beach at Klingklong and forget Crystal Beach.
The tour was managed well but we opted to get to Sanur Port ourselves.
Lyon, our tour guide, did a great job of getting us priority seats on the fast boat, sorting out the best places to avoid the crowds at the beaches by taking alternative routes and took some great photos of us by climbing trees!! Strongly recommend Lyon.
The driver provided by the tour was good, careful and vehicle appropriate and reasonably comfortable.
All in all a good tour.

What a fantastic day. No question the island and the sites we saw were breathtaking. That was 80% of what made it great. What brought it over the edge was Rukun to 100%. Our guide was hilarious and we felt we were the most important thing on the planet to him. Attention to what brought us pleasure was his mission and mission accomplished it was. Well done Rukun.
As for the tour and tour operator. Like clockwork. We were picked up on time, delivered to the port for the fast boat transport and immediately in a vehicle and on our way to see some of the most spectacular scenery ever.
Would recommend this tour company and certainly Rukun to anybody.

Probably one of our favourite tours in Bali. The white sand beaches, snorkelling and cliff views of Nusa Penida made the trip totally worth it.
Our guide Dede was fantastic to work with, he was friendly, punctual and provided great insight into Bali and Nusa Penida.
The port at Sanur can be a little hectic, very helpful to have Dede accompany us. Our guide also helped take some amazing photos. Highly recommend this tour, we paid ~1,000 idr / person, includes:
1. Hotel pick up and drop off
2. Fast boat ticket
3. Snorkeling at 4 different sites
4. Various stops around the island (time permitting we could’ve done a few more sites)

I loved everything from start to the end. My guide Nino took special care of me, weather it came to having water or umbrella or making sure I have most stunning pictures around the island. Nusa Penida is really beautiful. Would love to come again with a lot of time in hand.

I went on this trip with Asta as my guide. He was great, very positive and providing great vocals to the car music, haha! :) He also took lots of pics for me, and allowed me to sit on the top deck of the boat with the captain and crew, like a VIP :) Thanks for a great day. In hindsight, I think I would have preferred to stay at Kelingking beach and swim there, and skip on crystal bay as there were many tourists there, but that is just my opinion. :)

Rukun was fantastic and the best tour guide we have had to our trip to bali. He always made sure we were ok and comfortable on the trip. He gave us heaps of information about our location and answered all our questions. We could not have asked for a better guide/driver and he made the trip more enjoyable. We would definately recommend this trip.

The views & every spot we visited were incredible! Our tourguide Asta brought us to the best spots for the views & photos as well, took photos & videos of us as good as a professional photographer, put so much effort in everything & always assured that we‘re happy with the pictures we got. He even made it possible for us to extend our tour with a boattrip and snorkeling (on additional costs obviously, which on we agreed before he took us there) where we could see the dolphins, turtles & many fishes, it was by far the best day we spent in Bali! We couldn‘t have had a better tour! Thank you so much Asta for making that possible & giving us memories for a lifetime!

What a day !! I would absolutely recommend ! Asta, our guide, and Sudyana (I hope I got his name right…), our driver, were absolutely incredible. Asta took care of us from start to finish (12 hours !) with an incredible smile, a true professionalism and some very well placed humor. He only had great recommendations, took amazing pictures and went above and beyond every step of the way. Really truly 5 stars service !!!
Our driver was also really amazing, always very careful and gentle. The roads are not easy but he drove magnificently !
Really a super experience from top to bottom.
I would recommend to do this tour a few days after arrival as it is a long day and jet lag can play tricks on you.
But really, Asta and Sudyana were absolutely wonderful people and they deserve all the credit for the success of this journey. Ask for them and you will not be disappointed !!

We went to Nusa Penida Island as a couple. Leon found us at Sanur harbor itself. A nice AC car was waiting for us at Nusa Penida harbor and trust me you will need a car there. It is going to be very very hot there. We visited all the beaches and viewpoints. Leon knew some of the best viewpoints and restaurants on the island. He also helped us capture some of the best moments there and overall was very nice and understanding. He is also very good at English so you can ask him any number of questions about Indonesia and its culture.
Mind you, that you won't be able to get down at the Kelingking beach on a day tour to Nusa Penida. It will take at least 2 Hrs to get down on a hot day which will eat all your time on the island.

We took our own snorkelling gear just the mask and snorkel. I noticed that you can hire them there at Crital beach. Th lunch was included in our tour but its nothing exciting read mie goring noodles. You can do a Bali Hai 3 Island tour that would be much better if you really just want to snorkel.

Hi, is it possible to take the tour and stay in crystal bay at the end of the tour? I have a hotel booked there.
RAKIKA

Hi I think so. Since crystal bay is the last stop I would suggest you spend majority of your time in the other three spots and just tell the driver/guide that you won't be needing the speed boat back. They book the speed boat in advance which is usually at 4:30 pm. But the excursion starts really early at 8 in the morning. So just mention your drop off and pick ups a day ahead.

Hi there - all the boat operators leave from the North end of the beach at Sanur around 8.00am. They get you there by 7.30 so they can assemble and leave on time. You would need to hire a private boat to go at an alternative time I suspect.

I would say no, soecially if you want to reach the beach by foot. Gor Adultes with decent shoes and good physical conditions I really recomend them to go down to the beach.
